History:
Rise began as a team of compassionate entrepreneurs who saw immense potential in the healing benefits cannabis had to offer individuals in need. Their founders pursued this gratifying opportunity to provide patients with an alternative relief to harmful or addictive pharmaceutical treatments. Rise began in Nevada to heal their suffering community with effective, lasting cannabis relief. Rise’s success in their home state inspired them to expand to the Maryland patient community and serve as the vanguard of dispensaries to aid Bethesda patients in need. Soon, their team of care specialists will offer valuable guidance and healthcare services to enrich the Bethesda patient community. Through community events and educational sessions, Rise centers everything they do on bettering their patients’ lives.

The care specialists team at Rise is dedicated to assisting patients in understanding and accessing the marijuana therapies they need. They take their time with each new guest to fully understand and empathize with a patient’s situation and make sure they’re comfortable.. Rise will then work with each person to find the optimal medical marijuana solution for their concerns and track subsequent visits and successes to confirm the best product and dosages. Rise wants every patient to feel welcome and respected at their Bethesda dispensary and designed their facility to be open and warm. Rise always wants to do right by their patients and will take as much time as necessary to provide individuals successful cannabis treatment and education.
Menu:
Rise works with Maryland medical cannabis producers to offer a varied and reasonably priced marijuana selection to dispensary patients. They carry vaporizers, topicals, and concentrates, and will expand their cannabis selection as Maryland’s market does. Rise-Bethesda plans to partner with as many providers as possible to meet as many patients’ specific needs as possible. To supplement their cannabis supply, Rise carries a decent selection of rolling papers, pipes, and other paraphernalia.
At this time, Rise accepts cash only at their Bethesda dispensary. Their team provides veterans, seniors, and industry professionals 10% off each purchase with valid identification. Cannabis customers can connect with Rise over Weedmaps, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and email. Walk-in patients and scheduled appointments are both accommodated, and Rise’s Bethesda dispensary features plenty of ADA accessible parking.

Rise’s Bethesda location stands across from Georgetown Square in central Bethesda and is easily accessible from the Interstate 495 and Route-187 roadways. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Service was prompt and the gentleman I worked with took his time and answered all my questions.
Staff (Ameer and I think Richard??) are super friendly and knowledgeable and prices are the best for this area (which is still way too high for even this area!) but buds are dry and weight isn’t always exact (but that may be the distributors and not the dispensary?).
That being said, I still keep coming back and recommending to friends cause it’s the best we got…for now.

Hands down best despensary in md. In hiuse flower, great products, would like to see the be more consistent with strains tho. malwi, gg#4, gsc, blue dream, sour diesel should alway or most often be available

Worst dispensary in Maryland. This is the closest dispensary to where I live and it doesn’t show up on weed maps anymore because of my bad reviews. They literally blocked me on weed maps and just had my negative reviews removed. Got an email saying basically they said I work for another dispensary. Hahaha no you guys are just garbage. I honestly wish you weren’t such vultures so I could buy my medicine without having to travel very far but like I said you’re the worst in Maryland. The most expensive dispensary with the worst employees you make none of your own products and you gauge the PATIENTS of Maryland. How do you think it’s cool to sell 120$ carts?

This place is amazing, staff are very friendly and product is quality.
This place has very friendly staff and a decent selection for the 2nd day opening. Got a nice 3x shirt and medicine journal for free. Looking forward to their Cannabidiol products, as CBD helps me more for pain. Prices are high, but I’m also used to getting Colorado medicine for $3-$5 a gram.

Awesome place! I’m so lucky to have this place close to home. The people here are incredibly friendly and welcoming.
The first thing I noticed was how small the waiting space is. They do make good use of it and keep things moving in a friendly way. The main room is much bigger and I hope that’s to accommodate a large selection!
Everyone who works there is really awesome. They are well educated with regards to the medicines and procedures. They take the time to explain things. They don’t make you feel rushed. This place is very well managed.
I understand that medicine is still limited. This place was the first in MD to carry a decent supply with options. They carry awesome strains such as Malowi Gold and Lemon Head. I can’t wait to go back because this form of medication really helps, is a safe alternative and these guys are awesome to interact with.

As this was my first visit to a dispensary ever, I’ll admit I was a bit nervous. I went one evening after work and didn’t even wait in line. I was impressed with the various stains & knowledgeable staff in a friendly setting. They even gave me a t-shirt! I was very impressed with the customer service. I’m a big fan of the vape pen, Relax. Prices for various product were high, but I understand they will be for some time as the Maryland industry sets itself up. The Forward Gro flower was a bit dried out, which is out of the dispensaries’ control.
The staff and service is fantastic. Very friendly and professional/helpful. That being said, I weighed the flowers when I got home and they shorted me .2g/8th and .5/quarter. The bud is dry and the nugs are pretty loose, not really top quality considering the prices in MD are so high ($60-70/8th). Let’s hope competition drives down the prices and up the quantity but only time will tell…Ridiculous considering an 8th in CO or OR is half the price of MD…
This place exceeds the standard for making the best of what you have to work with…I’m really digging it. It has been easy in, easy out and the product is really good. I have hit them up once a week and each week there is more and more new products and more and more free munchies : )

This was so far my best experience with a dispensary in MD. I love the selection and the pricing is descent considering it’s just the beginning of this boom for MD. I also love how the employees are dead honest with you. They’ll tell you which strain is not worth buying if the grow wasn’t the best
I made my first purchase as a patient yesterday at RISE Bethesda. I live about an hour away from their location, but it was definitely worth the drive. I knew what I wanted before I walked in as I was able to view their menu online. The staff was very welcoming and kind. I really liked the way the dispensary was set up. The products I received were high quality and I will definitely be stopping by again.
I have been here a handful of times as it’s the closest one to me during the day. I must say, the deals they have are great. The overall effects of the Flower products is fine, but there seems to be something strange about the flower itself. Everything I have gotten from this place seems to have the same smell and taste. Not the smell and taste of the actual stain, but something different all together. And most of the buds are extremely dry and crumbled. Which helps with weight, but burns extremely fast.
Also not a fan of a lot of their packaging.
Other dispensaries around seem to have better quality flower and packaging.
The service and assistance making the proper choices is great though.
With so many locations opening up around the state, I feel these guys need to step up their game a bit.
I’ll get the bad out of the way first: I’ve never had a problem with Rise until today…bought a Liberty tincture only to get home to find the bottle nearly 2/3 empty. The good: They’re friendly, it’s got a decent atmosphere, and is usually a quick trip if you know what you’re there for. Parking is easy enough, and it’s close to the beltway.
LOVE this store. Everyone knows what they are talking about. My only complaint is their menu on Leafly is never accurate.
Even though it was very busy, they were able t maintain a calm and relaxed atmosphere. I never felt pressured towards any specific product and didn’t feel rushed at all. The quality is good, but the selection is still somewhat limited since the Maryland industry is still getting off the ground.

Be careful with the concentrates, I guess MD law doesn’t allow them to show you the tubes before purchase.
I’ve purchased 4 rythm tubes and 2 of the 4 where so dark they looked brown with very poor taste. The other 2 where very quality with a clear yellow color and great flavor.
I can understand the dispensary will take any product due to early shortages. But with current pricing the product should be superior. That’s really the only reason I left off some stars for these guys. I know they don’t make the product but hope they can start differentiate between good tubes and poor quality ones so people don’t get stuck with a $90 tube that’s inferior.
Hopefully this is just growing pains

Went to this place on opening day. Very reasonable wait time and excellent customer service. When I got home I found one of the containers empty and called to explain the issue. The staff was very accomadating and gave me a free 1/8th in return for the inconvenience. Overall great staff, service, product, and location!

Everyone here is so kind and helpful. James, the store manager and my budtender on opening morning, was more than happy to answer all my questions. They’ve also done a great job maintaining product throughout the shortage since the Maryland MC industry opened for business.

Small, cold, bright, sterile, CROWDED uncomfortable wait room. 40 minute wait. Felt a bit overwhelmed by the budtender’s advice – too many choices. They hadn’t tried the things I was asking about. I did not like the product. No thanks!! Waiting for more dispensaries to open. Won’t be back.
So happy this is my local dispensary. Been several times and each visit the staff was professional, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic.
