7. Like a child in a candy store I’ve been making my rounds to local dispensaries. I’ve visited 4 so far, and by far the best is The Giving Tree. These people care and know what they are doing. The meds are super high quality and well cured.

29. Went there for the first time. I was very impressed with how clean and professional it was. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The flower was some of the best I have gotten. I got ATF, AC/DC and Death Star. The AC/DC was great for my pain and overall body. I haven’t felt this great in a long time; I feel young again. The Death Star was great for night time and relaxation. ATF was awesome for pain during the day time without couch lock. overall, the medicine and service I received was phenomenal and I will be coming back again when needing more medicine.

38. I came in for my Giving Tree AC/DC house cartridges and I got the last 3. I have to go up to The Giving Tree up north for them now. That’s what happens…I find effective medicine and then it becomes elusive. I’m not 100% impressed with the new “ownership”. there’s really not been much fanfare…

41. the attentiveness and atmosphere here are great, just one of those dispensaries that fosters a welcoming demeanor. the acdc pheno you guys offer has a great ratio and really sets the bar for cbd-rich medicine.

    however, most of the other flower lacked favorable attributes and structure; just didn’t seem “dialed in”. I had hoped the higher tiered pricing would reveal boutique strains but this just wasn’t the case.
    even so, ill be back to the giving tree soon for more positive vibes and some of that acdc. cheers!

45. I have been going to The Giving Tree of Mesa off and on for a few months now. I have to say, their hash is top notch. I love it!! And they are the only dispensary I’ve found that even offers hash!!! Although, I just can’t buy flower here ever again. While the quality is pretty good, not the absolute best, but definitely good quality medicine, I can’t pay the ridiculous prices they charge. $65 an eight!?!? That’s outrageous. I’ve never even paid near that before the medical act when we had to find our own meds!!! It’s crazy that anyone would open a dispensary and charge patients those prices and be able to sleep at night. The people running it are obviously patients just like us. They know the struggle we’ve all been through just getting it to a legal status, and instead of celebrating by offering affordable meds, they jack up the price way above street prices to make more money. It’s just bad business. I will be back for the hash, but I have to buy flower from, well, just about anybody else ’cause I can afford regular prices, but I won’t be ripped off. It’s a shame.

69. Great location right off of the 60 and Stapley in Mesa. I would say besides Monarch in Scottsdale the most upscale dispensary I’ve been to. The staff welcomed me with open arms since it was my first time there. In the back they did have a solid selection of flower. It look liked they were up to date with their edibles, tinctures, wax, etc. They will be added to my weekly route.

76. The atmosphere was different than most, but later I appreciated it as it became obvious that the budtenders knowledge and the patients needs were priority at Giving Tree. They had a good selection of CBD strains to address my pain and inflammation. This is one location I would be willing to travel to the valley for again.

I have to drive a bit to get here, but feel the quality is worth the drive.. And I will say maybe their prices seem higher, BUT.. compare apples to apple and oranges to oranges. Everything I have received from here is ORGANIC ! Might not mean much to some people.. But if you have had organic food and notice the taste and quality of the food is better.Same applies to flowers! Even small amounts of pesticides can be harmful to people who are sick.I think that comparing them to other dispensaries that do not offer organic product is not really fair.. I like this place! 125. The Giving Tree in Mesa is outstanding. The location is in a nice “industrial” office area with low-to-no traffic. Inside is clean, beautiful and professional. The staff are professional and pleasant to interact with. The meds are absolutely top tier, well packaged and labeled (I think labeling is very important. I want to know exactly what’s in my meds). I particularly like their brownies, which actually do what they’re supposed to do, very well, unlike other edibles I’ve tried from local compassion clubs.

     If you want the absolute best meds you can find in the Mesa area, you will not be disappointed with The Giving Tree. Very highly recommended.

160. Arizona Natural selections is my top pick for Gilbert/Mesa area dispensaries. Their prices and products are all good, but their service is what sets them apart. I had an issue with a cartridge once and Zach, the store manager, was really understanding and fast to help solve the problem. You also have to meet Katie, the nicest bartender ever with great suggestions every time. Even their security guard, Carlos, makes every visit better with a big smile and a great attitude! 10/10 would go again.

I’ve been to a handful of dispensaries in the east valley all of which have been great but you guys are a notch above every single time from the meds to the service. The ONLY time I go to a different dispensary is to pick up some Gorilla Glue #4 (wish you guys grew this strain)…. Prices are very competitive the quality of the herb is amazing, they have a few strains on their 3rd tier that can EASILY be on the 1st tier. If you’re looking for concentrates you’ll be a little disappointed but a little birdy told me they will be selling a better variety soon…. on the other hand their pre-rolls are some of the best out there, yeah we all know what goes into a pre-roll but with the quality of herb these guys have it makes them really good! The only complaint I have and it is the ONLY complaint I have is that sometimes the their herb can be a little over dried, but on the plus size a little over dried herb produces more kief… All in all this dispensary IS 5 out of 5 stars all around. Love you guys! P.S. I am a patient of theirs and not a made up review! Lol

I placed an order at 12pm 2 days ago. heard nothing. called they said nothing came thru and to call back in 10 mins. did that they still didn’t have it then he said the delivery guy wouldn’t be they’re till 2. still cool I waited till 245. called back asked what was going on he had me on hold then told me the delivery guy hadn’t shown up yet and his manager told him to tell me that they would call to tell me weather they were going to do it or not. I was amazed that this is what the “MANAGER” said. obviously I ordered from somewhere else and had my meds in less then an hour for cheaper. i never heard back from them lmfao. this was honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had with a dispensary and I really hate being negative.

236. This place is not bad, the staff is very welcoming, check in was a breeze and I was treated very well. Upon entering the room with the meds, I was greeted by two budtenders. Very friendly, knowledgeable gents and one began working with me. Shortly there after, an obnoxious woman(patient) entered and began working with the other gentleman. However, she felt compelled to keep flirting with the guy I was working with, so I did not have his attention throughout. Not his fault, he did not want to hurt her feelings. But, it was ackward. So, I bought Blue Dream. I got it sight unseen, just two sealed packages. I would have like seeing it up close and smelling it, but was not offered that option. I also bought some edibles, the dude was very knowledgeable and a good guy. When I got home and opened the Blue Dream, I felt it was pretty dry. It is drier than my meds that it is replacing and they have been here for three weeks. Not a big deal, I am sure it will work just fine. All in all, this place is just okay. I have been to three since getting my card, this is third on my list.

My card is expired but my boyfriend is still a patient and I still am happy to go in every time even if I cannot get meds. I am just as welcomed and pretty much everyone knows me because they make an effort to. Service and meds are the best I’ve had. And the staff is great! Sammy and Hayley are usually the bud tenders who help me and they are both amazing but the whole staff is just great for lack of better words. Was soo dank. The meds from this shop have recently been helping me out with pain and soreness from recent surgery as well. They have labels in front of the jars on display which includes the medical benefits of each strain they represent. Very helpful with choosing.

But the staff is incredibly kindhearted and willing to answer any silly questions you or your loved ones may have about strains, edibles, etc. Kina and Jasmine, the two helpful receptionists, both helped guide me from my house to the cross streets and then eventually the front door of the dispensary. Once they get you in the system (which in and of itself is a very short process anyway) the two awesome guys who work the counter together are always glad to show you new flowers, new brownies, even a couple nice bubblers. All in all, if you cats have your card and you AREN’T hitting this place up, GET TO IT! :]

I explained what happen, I had my receipt and I wanted either my money or an exchange.. something They looked dumbfounded like duh?? No refunds or exchanges.. just a we’re so sorry but you can contact the manufacturer!! Are you kidding?!?!?! I have given this place so much of my money.. don’t make the same mistake! Get on the rewards program so you will not pay full price and DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR VAPORIZERS!!!!! They do not tell you if there is a problem there is nothing they can or will do! Nothing was offered for the 127.00 I lost on this thing sitting in the original box in my closet! Useless. They should have offered a free gram or something ANYTHING EXCEPT oh, were so sorry!! Oh yeah and a gift certificate for a message. WHAT!? That’s right a message!. Lobby/Waiting area is large with comfy chairs. Wait time was nearly nothing, and I went at rush hour when everyone is getting off work. New patient paperwork is quick, the selection is clearly posted on their “Tree Board” behind the counter and samples in jars that are clearly visible if you are waiting. The girl that helped me with my selection was amazing and knew the product well! Flower selections are color coded for Sativa, Hybrid, Indica, and CBD. Their house pre-rolls are surprisingly stronger than any other “Rainbow” or “Potpourri” style I’ve had anywhere else. My birthday was that much better for going to the “Wellness Center” and I will be going back and telling everyone about GTWC. Thanks again!! Y’all are amazing.

Upon entering, I was greeted by a sweet young lady at the front counter (didn’t get her name) and I was asked to fill out some paperwork. After only a couple minutes, I was asked back to the dispensary room. As I looked at my favorite flower strains from Tier 1 to Tier 3, I honestly was not too impressed; especially for the price of the meds here. The buds on Tier 3; the highest shelf were the most dissapointing, especially at $17.25 + Tax Per Gram! Good thing it was my first time here; I got a BOGO quarter which came out to be $92 for 14 Grams. I ended up choosing a strain called Boss Hogg on Tier 2; I can honestly say this was the best looking herb they had in that whole building. I can honestly say that even though they advertise “Lower Prices”, you will pay more money here than anywhere else. Even with the given 2nd Time patient deal @ BOGO 50% off, I wouldn’t stop back at this shop. Just a bit too expensive for me!

768. Wow! This is a great dispensary. When I arrived I was given a free lip balm. I waited a little while, but not long. I waited my turn and went into the dispensary room. The Bud Tender was very helpful and the product was unbelievable. I purchased bottom tier flower, but the quality was above the dispensaries I have visited in the past. The flower was also very fresh. I also purchased into their rewards program. It is only $5 and in return you get a metal card with holes in it designed for grinding. The grinding of the card worked really great. I needed a grinder and this one was only $5. What a great deal!

     I wanted to split up an 1/8th and wasn’t told until after check out that this would disqualify me from the free 1/2 gram . Which I had stated I wanted the special when I first got there. It’d have been nice to know before checking out, I would have spent more money. I’m new to all this and don’t understand everything and she was no help at explaining. I felt stupid. She also preceded to ask me if they had done it for me before bc apparently they give out special deals to special clients. In that case she would have honored it.
     Too many ppl not enough cashiers had to wait to then wait again to be helped.

I am not sure why they have kept prices high, I assumed they would eventually drop like some of the better dispensaries in the area. Oh well. One time was good enough for me. The quality of the weed at this place is really good from my experience, always seems to be fresh buds. The blue dream had a floral dryer sheet taste on the exhale I didn’t feel it much. The white widow gave me a headache was very harsh, the cornbread helped me fall asleep fast.

     They didn’t have any timeless in stock, them had absolutely no concentrates (shatter/crumble/honeycomb/sugar wax) no selection of RSO, few edibles 2 choose from. They did however have suppositories which I have never seen offered at a dispensary before. That’s 1 of the only things that stood out 2 me.. but I don’t think I’ll be trying them. Great for people who can’t ingest it thru eating/vapor/smoking it.

     If you only smoke flower this place would be fine to go to. I was planning on getting concentrates when I came. So if you’re a dabber prepare for maybe 1 strain of shatter if it’s in stock. The customer service wasn’t bad I actually feel bad for giving them a low rating that’s why I only rated quality & selection.

910. So I drove out from Florence last night (7/19) to take advantage of their grand opening specials. I wanted to get their dispensary brand cartridges, and also to p/u a battery for them. So I bought the 3 .800ml carts for $60, plus a $15 battery. This was my FIRST TIME purchasing cartridges. They had none of the cartridges that were on sale on display. When I selected what I wanted from the list, the budtender retrieved the cartridges from a cabinet against the wall. The cartridges were wrapped in black labeling, so you could not see the actual concentrate through the packaging. There is a very thin window on separate sides of the cartridges, but all three packages only had the solid black labeling exposed, so you couldn’t see the oil. I asked about why I couldn’t see it, and the budtender said it’s there, I just couldn’t see it due to how the carts were positioned. I didn’t think much of it, until after using the product. Nonetheless, thinking back on how these cartridges were purposely positioned to hide the oil color, was the first sign of this business’ con artistry.

     The taste of the oil from all three cartridges was burnt. I’m not talking about harshness, which I understand that some lower quality oils may have after initial vaping. I’m talking about a burnt taste and aftertaste following the first vape. It was dark out when I was putting the vape carts together. So I didn’t see the window until after trying the second cart, as I thought possibly the first cart was bad. But nope…same issue. Then I checked out the window to find that the oil is PITCH BLACK….not a dark brown, which would indicate a lower quality oil, but pitch black, as with oil that was tainted and no longer meant for human consumption (at least not ethically).

     I was later aware that this company bought out The Giving Tree after I made my purchase, and that The Giving Tree had a long time problem with providing quality cannabis products under their own brand. So it could be that these cartridges were repackaged for Arizona Natural Selections and sold at a sale price to push out the supply. These carts had the Arizona Natural Selections label on it, and not The Giving Tree, btw. Hence, when they choose to purchase the business and their remaining products, then they elected to take responsibility for the other business’ products, even if inferior. And I believe they are well aware of how inferior those cartridges are from The Giving Tree, which is why they went out of their way to hide the oil coloring within their packaging, as anyone who saw this pitch black oil would have not followed through with their purchase.

     Also, to make sure it was the oil and not the battery, I vaped from a battery which wasn’t purchased at ANS as well. So, it is the oil that is bad…very bad.

     So I will not be taking my business back to Arizona Natural Selections, based on the simple premise of business ethics and integrity. Since these oil carts are burnt, they should have trashed them, instead of embarrassing themselves by selling them. I would highly recommend avoiding any concentrate they sell under their name, even if they purchased the product from another company to sell under their own name. You can’t trust their knowledge or craftsmanship with the creation of concentrates. Even worse, the employees there know full well how horrible these cartridges are, but have not an ounce of integrity or character themselves, that they would actually sell it to a woman who has a bonafide medical disability and only receives SSDI.

     I did try to call them the next morning several times, but their phones were always busy. I heard that we can’t get reimbursed for inferior/tainted cannabis products anyway, but I still wanted to let them know how I felt about what they pulled. So I guess I’ll just let everyone know.

1024. First off, the employee who helped me was not knowledgeable or engaging. His answers were hesitant and he seemed uncomfortable. This person set the tone for my experience. I purchased Giving Tree Brand .5 gram Sativa&Indica cartridges. They were a total waste of money. They aren’t effective to medicate me; I got them because they were about 20$ cheaper than my normal Clear or K.I.ND. Brand that I usually get. The cartridges came 2 in a pack and the DA told me they come in 2’s because they’re not that potent, and yet he lead me to believe it would medicate me but they don’t do anything. It’s like sucking on a pollution stick. Furthermore, I was new to pens and concentrates at the time of my visit. When I asked if the cartridges I bought would be compatible with my Jupiter brand battery I was told aEURoeyes,aEUR by the DA. This too was false information, the cartridges I bought used a less powerful battery than the one I own and I had to purchase another battery from another dispensary which was inconvenient.
      The flower was nothing special, I can say that for their LA Confidential and Green Crush.

One strain I bought from these guys (ATF) was literally the worst bud I’ve ever been served at a dispensary (and I’ve patronized quite a few). To make matters worse, they short-changed me on the new patient BOGO special. They ultimately allowed me the BOGO when I went back (two receptionists and the manager(?) I talked to over the phone after being shorted and stuck with bunk flower were admittedly very friendly), but both budtenders I met were uppity and unhelpful after faint initial whiffs of affability. FYI – if you’re out of the stuff on the online menu that brings a customer in to begin with, your knowledge better be lights out regarding the replacements on offer. If not, getting curt and high-handed with customers will make you look like a clown.

      In any event, there are far better options in the Mesa area that weigh and bag the actual flower they produce for your inspection in front of you. Otherwise, you run the risk of getting stuck with a sealed bag of old overpriced dirt weed from behind the counter, as happened to me. To be fair, a couple of the other strains I tried were perfectly fine so I suppose Giving Tree might do in a pinch. Even if my bad ATF experience was atypical though, there are undeniably better options out there considering GT’s highish prices and limited selection.

1083. This place to be totally honest with the public takes advantage of the public by setting such high prices for the medicine they sell to patients. You can buy an oz of Blue Dream for $275.00 if you pay attention to another dispensary’s specials and texts. At the giving tree you will spend well over $400.00 for the same strain. And I do mean over $400.00. I think their price is like $440.00 or so. And other dispensaries give you free medicine and or additional discounts with every single purchases. You have to spend $300.00 with the giving tree before they give you their belief as a nice bonus of $40.00 towards any purchase that must be done on your NEXT visit. Not even able to take advantage of it on your first visit. No I strongly advise if you want top quality medicine at the best prices in town then avoid these scam artists and make the drive to another dispensary. You will be so much happier you did.

1104. I love it here! Been a customer since they were the Giving Tree. This is the perfect place for patients new to MMJ to go! If I find out someone is a beginner and have a lot of questions about MMJ, this is where I refer them!
      Front desk employees are always extremely friendly and helpful! They start by giving you a tour of the dispensary (very excited for the remodel!) and explain everything very clearly. They even give you a smell proof container for your medication! There’s always a great selection of flower and edibles. I love that the parent names and THC % are listed on each strain! Their Happy Cups edibles are fantastic and reasonably priced and they have all the regular edibles like Infusion and Pure as well. There are ALWAYS deals and discounts every day of the week!
      All in all a great dispensary that’s only going to get better!

I was able to ask rather specific questions and they answered all of them and made great suggestions for strains that help with my symptoms. While I still wish to explore dispensaries to see what’s out there, I’m definitely going to return and this may become my regular place.

1199. The giving tree is a nice friendly environment with a good staff. The flower strains are all in house so they know their strains well for the most part. A downside of this dispensary like many others is the lac of top quality modern day concentrates. The Co2 shatter that Giving Tree has was released on 7/10 and its made with all in house strains and is definitly pretty potent, but it goes down at little rough and the taste is a bit off putting. My recommendation for the future is to get into making Heat extracted Live resin/ cured resin, The purity is always 100% and the flavors/effect are unmatchable.

While in the waiting room a returning patient came back complaining of the battery stop working after just buying and charging then when I got pulled back the budtender informed me that I should buy a battery because the house cartridge tends to burn up the batteries. I feel like they kinda knew that the cartridges sucked but still push them not to mention the cartridge flavor is absolutely disgusting 4 of the 5 cartridges stopped working right at the half point and the 5th one well that one stopped working after 1/4 into it….basicly still full. They really need to improve the quality of their products

1202. The Giving Tree is a better dispensary than most, (in AZ) a great atmosphere and friendly easy people. I will return to check on the inventory and with a consistency of quality at a good value I will make it my regular place. They give free .7 gram spliffs with purchases higher than so much. I don’t recall, maybe 100$. So find what you like and buy by the ounce, get a couple of free spliffs with it. Place is more balanced and professional than the other dispensaries in AZ I’ve been to. Nice people and reasonable buds, candy, brownies (are awesome at 120mg).

      Having grown multiple types and styles for the very ill and dispensaries in CA and OR I feel that AZ has far to go. Especially when dealing with folks that have compromised immune systems. It is imperative to be pure and medical grade. I also feel that it is unreasonable to charge higher rates for higher THC content as it costs the same to produce a plant regardless of dry weight or content. I realize everyone will want that one but not if someone educated, educates them in the info that THC % doesn’t create the more medicinal cannabis. There are nearly 450 cannabinoids in a plant depending on the strain. And much of the medicinal value can be obtained through whole plant extracts like those used as a common cancer therapy in Spain with great success. I also would like to see a THC or sub cannabinoid % content and a contamination free cert.

      I would love to see AZ get the act together in terms of quality and diversity of product as well as providing clones that are not contaminated at every turn. (giving tree doesn’t do clones). It looks bad to see a WPM or Mite invested clone and expect a customer to not expect the buds to be covered in pesticides or dead mites or spores. Then a poor novice buys one and either destroys the crop or infests the grow room or the crop just dies. Or in my personal experience get fungal bronchitis from one use of buds contaminated with botrytis. Often the pests on these plants have adapted to natural forms of control and the only way to clear them is with good knowledge and technique or not at all or using a pesticide (might as well drink ant poison) The so called dispensaries here could use a major overhaul. If someone with the experiences like myself was involved, that dispensary would be leading in the state. Look for someone that has done it for years already in another state and hire them. I’m new to purchasing buds as I’ve grown my own until recently with the proximity laws here. Maybe I’m spoiled and picky.

      Once again, the above statements are not a negative report on The Giving Tree. I’m expressing where improvements state wide could be and how picky I am. This place was GREAT! I hope they read the advice above and become a great success. I will return and enjoy a decent product.

1222. I’ve tried many different dispensaries and delivery services around the valley, and this is by far favorite here in the Mesa area. Went here for the first time today, and this place is awesome! Professional atmosphere, very safe environment (neighborhood isn’t ghetto!), security locks on doors, lots of knowledgeable staff, huge selection of meds ranging from top-shelf down to low-shelf quality, and they have a nice selection of edibles, pipes, vaporizers, grinders, etc. etc. Even got a pre-roll for it being my first visit. Meds are top quality — dense, tight nugs, not too dry, covered in orange hairs and crystals. Oh, and their gummy bears will not disappoint! I highly recommend these guys. I will be coming here a lot more often from now on!

1249. I’ve been to the Giving Tree twice now. First time I picked up a tangerine dream pre-roll. I haven’t been that medicated in a while. Highly suggest this strain! The Giving Tree is very professional and a very clean environment. Only downside is that I have to visit Leafly to find their menu. You can also find them listed on DosGreenGuys.com, though! I’ll definitely be back!

1256. This is hands down my favorite dispensary in the area. I love talking to the receptionist. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They know me by name. I always feel relaxed and safe. I enjoy the selection of bud and edibles they have. They also always know which flower to send me home with and it is excellent quality.
