1. I recently had my very first dispensary experience, and I have to say it really was a great one. The staff at Wellness Connection were super friendly and helpful in assisting me in selecting strains to try. The bud I received was fantastic as well- beautiful, frosty flowers, and very smooth to smoke. As a matter of fact, since smoking this quality medicine, I’ve found that I am able to use smaller quantities and smoke a little less often.

2. Honestly, I was not overly impressed. When I first walked in, the initial atmosphere was not very welcoming. I was allowed in and waited for a while, unsure what to do. I did the paperwork, and after it was finished, I was directed toward the counter. I felt like the selection was very small compared to other dispensaries I’ve been to. I primarily use my vape, and I was very disappointed to find that the only cartridges available were for one specific pen that they sold for $40. I assumed it would be a much nicer pen, but the $40 cartridge I also bought was gone in under a week. Plus, they had under 10 variations, and all of them were just differentiated by flavor, nothing about strain or further details. Other $40 cartridges last me a month, and I know exactly what strain I have and whether it’s a sativa, indica, or hybrid. Overall, I just very much felt like they were only in it for the money. Other dispensaries really take the time to get to know the customer, what they’re looking for, and what they’re treating, but I felt very rushed and pressured into buying a pen that I didn’t really want. I will say that the quality of the products I purchased were good, but I don’t think I’ll be going back.

3. This place just isn’t my cup of tea. They only have a few strains and they are usually out of the good stuff. Tincture to me was extremely mild and not worth the price. Cookies are ok but inconsistently dosed IMO, and the prices! $55 plus tax for an 8th of their top shelf bud is crazy. Especially for the quick dried, not cured bud they sell. Oh and if you want salves, rubs, cbd tinctures, wax, oils, hash, or concentrates of any kind you better look elsewhere. Service is alright but I feel like I’m at a deli. A really poorly stocked deli. The largest collective in Maine sure has a lot to learn.

4. This place is SOOOOOO awesome. I love the feeling I get each time I go. The staff always help me find good strains that work best for my condition. The Wicked Good Wednesday Deals have been helping me afford what I need.

6. Very clean and inviting. As a new medical marijuana user, I had no idea what to expect but thus place is great. The staff is very friendly and helpful, I love the variety to choose from… I’m extremely happy with my dispensary.

10. Amazing place to get medication, a warm friendly environment with helpful and knowledgeable staff that work quickly while still giving one on one care to each patient. Always get greeted by name and told of current deals. If your new to your card this is the dispensary to sign up with.

12. This place is a joke, I’m sorry but the prices they are asking for uncured crispy bud just kills the experience. The staff is great but they don’t have a good selection. seems like their grower is all about quantity and NOT quality. Please don’t let this place form an opinion on maines medical marijuana! Seek out some caregivers that have some experience. For seeds check out gorilla grower seeds Facebook page. I get quality buds and its always something different… Please do your homework!!!

13. Good place to shop, friendly staff, knowledgeable.

    Once I got up there on a Saturday in the middle afternoon and they were out of several strains and down to quarters for others. On another occasion they had no Sativa strains at all, which is why I’m giving it a low service rating.

    I might shop at WCM in Portland again sometime, but for the moment I have changed to a dispensary that seems to more reliably have Sativas and high CBD strains that I like.

14. Awesome spot. Very hospitable. The staff are always welcoming and informative. They are really striving to meet Maine’s patients and where thy are at. Great menus and always seeing new things.

15. the location is good,lately all the bud is to dried out. to pay $35.00 an eighth.iwent to roll one and the bud turned powder.prices are way to high . about the bud that is to dry.they even sell stuff that is even more dry that sells. for $25.00 an eighth wow don’t do any favors.

I think it’s so funny that people get on here and bitch because this strain they wanted wasn’t there, or whatever their problem was, they act like wellness sucks when they have bomb weed and everytime I go there they have exactly what I want and I’m usually trying different things and I’m young and i know weed and although I’m not trying to give CBD tincture to my kid which is probably illegal because you’re not a doctor, but I come to Wellness connection and I know what dank bud is and it is bomb here. people that are getting what I’m getting (bomb sugar black rose, og real, and girl scout cookie) should be coming on here and saying so, so it’s not just a bunch of reviews of just a few people that don’t know what a good thing is and are just complaining. like if you complain about the location then you are clueless because Portland is definitely not the hood… too funny

20. visiting up from Massachusetts for a few weeks. The dispensery here is more relaxed and inviting. very efficient with the number system. they have a great strain selection with priced that are lower than what I usually pay.

21. I had a really pleasant experience at this dispensary. The staff was very friendly and provided me with some basic information relative to indica/sativa/hybrid strains and also provided me with recommendations for which strains would target my medical needs. I felt like they had a very nice selection. I picked up numerous strains and an indica and sativa tincture. Very happy with the LA Confidential I had this evening and am looking forward to trying the other strains and visiting the store in the future.

Wellness Connection in Portland helped me sort out the regulations and guided me through my first visit. They have a lot of knowledge and are ready to help the first-time mmj user find the strains that are right for them. The mmj I got was fantastic quality.

26. Been here a few times skywalker is there best strain. Also try Girl Scout cookies place is best for choice! One thing I have learned is u get what u pay for skywalker 400 a oz!!

27. clearly asked for high cbd strain for daughter’s epilepsy and they gave me high thc product. brought in Dr. rx and still walked away with tincture high in thc virtually no cbd. asked what kind is strain the tincture was…they couldn’t give me a specified strain only indica and sativa. said they don’t have lands to test it. I brought to a local lab that I found out later they had used once before…lab test showed no cbd, 1:1 thc to thc a. so frustrated.

30. It’s an amazing place full of caring professionals. Best strains include Blue Dream, Headband, Skywalker Kush and a Maine favorite M.O.B. (Mother of Berries)! They emphasize quality and have stringent controls over the consistency and purity. Mike helped me out big time and couldn’t be more enthusiastic about his job, Thanks Mike!

31. Ok, so Wellness Connection is great, they have a decent variety of strains, and a rotating supply of strains. No matter what you get, it’s of high quality. The only thing is that they are more expensive. They charge a little more than average for their bud, think of WCM as like a premium store. The service is always good, the staff genuinely wants to help you feel better. All in all if you can afford it, this is a great place to go for your medical needs

34. I think we have a long way to go in the state of Maine when it comes to dispensary choices, as this is THE ONLY company in the state with a store, and it certainly shows! Please someone open up shop here and give some well needed competition to this new market! Just good enough….so happy its finally happening legally here, and therefore I think I overlook how acceptable this store is. Small menu, very little variety with literally no medible product, boring selection, and top price for SURE!

36. Bud was ok, but prepackaged and half the options on the menu were not available. Purchased a preroll that was so tight/smushed it couldn’t be smoked. (Relatively) long sign up process for first time visitors.

37. I frequent this dispensary often..& the staff is so knowledgeable & always make the experience (no matter how often you go) personable. They always have amazing strains & edibles. They always know what to offer when you’re unsure. I love the dispensary!!
