6. I love this store. It’s out of the way for me to visit this location. I pass 7 different dispensaries (that I’m aware of) just to purchase my product here. The staff that I have conversed with recently, are well-educated and experienced with a wide variety of the products they sell, and they’re always friendly.

   Today, I went in and requested some very specific qualities from the product I was purchasing. The Budtender suggested a product that, once brought home and upon inspection/use, was exactly what I was looking for! Not only that, but it was within what I’d consider the lower price range of their shatter! Thanks Lindsy, you were fantastic!

   In addition to that, she presented me several cart options in varying price ranges, and she convinced me to purchase an Indica cart, something I almost never do! (Sure, probably irrelevant to you, but surprising af for me.)

   The interior might remind you of a standard run-of-the-mill pipe shop, but they have the widest variety of shatter, distillate, and PAX Pods in my area. And it’s all extremely reasonable in price. AND they take Debit Cards!

9. Like most of us, I have a handful of dispensaries within a 2 mile radius of my house. I’ve been to almost all the Milwaukie/Gladstone/OC dispensaries and Green Planet is my favorite. I absolutely love a dispensary that’s relaxed, store-like, quick in and out. I don’t feel claustrophobic in there like many dispensaries. Each time I’ve been in (weekend mornings), budtender Shawn helped me out… he is phenomenal and hope he gets nominated for budtender of the year. Helps me find what I need on my budget instead of just listing top shelf flower.

   Added bonus – you can pick up all the papers, glass, screens, whatever else you need, all in the same transaction. It’s a beautiful thing.

16. This store is fantastic. The customer service is the best I’ve ever experienced actually anywhere in Portland. Usually dispensaries have friendly, knowledgable staff, but here they go the extra mile. The budtenders who helped me got me to spend about $70 more than I was expecting, and honestly that’s not a bad thing.

    Furthermore, I purchased a cartridge at this location after discussing them a bit with the budtender Eli, and once I decided on one she grabbed it off the wall and we looked at some bud which I ended up also buying (not in my plan, but thanks to her recommendation I figured might as well). It wasn’t even a daily deal (they have 10% off deals for different items each day).

    I made my purchase and, once home, greedily opened my new goodies. I’m newer into vaping so I went for that first and was surprised by how easily the package unfolded, but was dismayed to find there was no cartridge inside. I was baffled, and like anyone would, I searched my surroundings. After a while I stopped and thought about it all; I had opened the box over a glass table, there was no clink-clink and I spent over half an hour scouring the floor and entire room (which is scantily furnished) for this cartridge, feeling like a complete idiot. But had it been there in the first place? I don’t remember tearing the box open, but one side was indeed torn. But, how could I have gotten this far without noticing? I called the store and told them my situation, the staff I spoke to told a manager my situation, then said to come in and they’ll see what they can do.

    I brought the packaging and receipt back to the store with my tail between my legs, feeling foolish — how absent-minded could a person be? — but they evaluated the situation, discussed it more with me, and we all realized that none of us could remember if there had been a cartridge in the box in the first place. They took my ID to flag me for potentially being a swindler (rightfully so) but still made me a sweet deal (I honestly didn’t expect anything) even though there was no real way to verify my story short of someone coming to search my house themselves. But they totally respected my claim and treated me like an honest human being which is rare these days in customer service because (I work in customer service too) it’s sooooo hard to believe anyone because sometimes people are liars or just complain about the stupidest crap and it can make a person jaded. I’m not sure I would have reacted so open-mindedly if I had been in their position. Cartridges are pricey. Anyway, the point is, they helped a brother out and they will pretty much now be my go-to place. Amazing selection compared to other local dispensaries (great variety of products the likes of which I’ve only really seen in Vancouver), and great staff.

    Afterward:
    Upon returning home with a new cartridge, in the box, I carefully retraced my movements. I immediately realized the other box I had been given must have been opened before I ever received it, because this new box was stiff and difficult to open. I even opened the top and bottom (which required tearing a label which I hadn’t done before) and shook it to see if the cartridge would fall out; it didn’t, the packaging holds it in there very well (this is Select brand) even with the box wide open. So, my conclusion is that at some point before I ever got it, the original box had been opened and burgled (the side you see in the store as it hangs on the wall is the side that shows the info sticker, not the cartridge). Obviously human memory is flawed, but having opened the packaging a second time, going through the movements, there is no way it could have fallen out without my noticing, even if I am absent-minded sometimes.

    So THANK YOU GUYS at this location you are super awesome.

    A note for those who want to take advantage of good customer service like this by lying about things like this to get free shit:
    Please don’t. Anyone who takes advantage of kindness by lying to get shit for free ruins the trust required for helping honest people in bad situations. Also, if you expect not to pay a stupid tax for this sort of oversight, think again 😉

    Anyway basically what I’m saying is great store, fantastic product, and amazing customer service. A really cool reminder of what a difference it makes to simply be a little kinder to one another. I’m as happy as a rainbow right now.

19. I love this dispensary. Always good quality and great prices. Purchased some Pineapple Kush this evening and it kicked my butt. Not much for flavor or smell so perfect for the need to be discreet smoker. Even THC to CBD content. Nice happy head to toe high.

20. This shop was very nice. To start with, the store is massive. Tons of floor space, so you’ll never feel crowded. There is glass ranging from around 5 bucks for a tiny pipe up to a couple several thousand dollar art pieces.

    All the staff were very nice, although I did not ask many questions. They filled my order efficiently.

    Flower selection is nice, and the prices seem pretty reasonable. Something they had that I hadvn’t seen at others, was a printed excel sheet to show how much the total would be with the 20% tax per gram intervals and whatnot. It was really handy because not all of us are good at trying to figure out how much the total will be, especially for someone on a strict budget.

23. First time going in here I had a very weird experience. First a very friendly and very helpful young black guy helped us. However about 5 minutes into talking to him, what seemed like the manager pulled him away to do another task, which seemed inappropriate in the middle of helping a customer. We were passed off onto this older white guy that was very rude and unhelpful. When I asked about some purchasing limits and pricing for oil, he responded aEURoeI dunno, I have my med card so how am I supposed to know that.aEUR YOU’RE A BUDTENDER, It is literally your job to know information about the products your selling. Eventually we got passed off to another budtender, a girl that was trying to be helpful but since we had been shuffled through so many budtenders by now, she was confused about what we wanted. We were finally passed off onto a 4th budtender who rang us up. Overall an weird experience. That friendly black guy should get some props, but that old white guy should
    probably be fired.

33. On Sunday evening Oct 21st, my partner came into Green Planet in Milwaukie. She has been a patient for the good part of half a year buying tinctures, cartridges, you name it for managing her symptoms of primary progressive multiple sclerosis and syringomyelia (a hyper rare disorder where Cerebral spinal fluid fills cavities in the spinal cord resulting in a wide range of neuro,psycho, and physical issues).

    She talked to the budtender about her needs of an indica strain and after mutually agreeing upon it, she was promptly rung up and sold what she thought was the agreed upon medicine and drove home.

    After opening the package she realized that a mistake occurred and the budtender selected a completely different product, a sativa strain. Because of oregon cannabis laws, patients can not handle cannabis products directly until after the sale had been completed. The trust is put in the budtender to correctly select and package the agreed upon medicine. Mistakes happen, we’re all human.

    So she went back to find a resolution to the mistake the budtender made. At first the budtender and manager said that the sativa would work for her ailments and that SHE SHOULDN’T WORRY ABOUT IT. She advocated for her specific medical conditions and the need for the indica to alleviate the dire symptomatic effects of her two medical conditions (think ability to walk and loss of hand function). At that point the manager refused to make the situation right by simply exchanging for the product that was originally requested. What he did do was offer her a coupon for 50% off her next purchase…which does nothing to get her the medicine that she needs to function.

    It was incredibly disheartening to hear about this situation as a husband and as a fellow healthcare professional.
    If me or my staff make an error we do everything to rectify the mistake and ensure to the patient that we were at fault and we will do root cause analysis and put a new system in place to prevent this error from occurring in the future.

36. Came by to get some flower for the weekend. The store was super busy, but all the employees seemed to be enjoying themselves and all had smiles on their faces. Leslie was my budtender and she was amazing! I told her what I wanted and she weighed me up, walked me to the registers, thanked me for my patience and stood by the cashier whom I assume was new and to make sure everything went smoothly. When I got home and peeped my flower, Leslie picked out the most beautiful nuggets for me! THANK YOU! I almost don’t want to set them on fire!

    The vibe is inviting and friendly. No stress hassles. Most of what I sought was available and an odd strain was sold out but easily substituted another for it.
    Prices are not excessive I do believe when the dust settles all will shake out nicely.
    Accepting credit cards a major plus im my book.

50. This is my third attempt to review, they don’t seem to get approved. The other review sites don’t lie! Rude staff. Black, small, smashed and manhandled buds. Pay attention when they start weighing out your product. Staff will pick people over you to enter, so pay attention. You have to speak first and approach staff for help. Often they smoke just outside the door, even though there is a 10ft rule. Idk. So let down when I’m spending $300+ a month in here for the past year. No CSR skills. Last chance was that I was promised by a call from mgmt about some broken joints, underweight 8ths, and loose stems in my flower container. NO call ever. Even when I called and left messages. Nothing. Made this promise in a local group with 3k members, and still didn’t follow through. Sad, no integrity. Sorry, GP. I gave too many chances. 🙁

    The selection is totally staggering. There is a ton of stuff to look at. Lots of glass, pipes, etc. I think there were something like 70 strains, though most were nasty house grows. They still carry a wide selection of Oregon’s best.

    My bandana’d budtender was impressively knowledgeable and had no problem finding the products that I was looking for.

    I would definitely come back. The warehouse style isn’t really my jam, but if you can’t find it, this place might have it.

67. I drive out of my way past three other stores for this one. The menu on Leafly is accurate, they actually do have that many strains at any given time, and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

    They also take cards with no extra fee, but the one star off on the atmosphere is for the lengthy checkout process involved. I’m sure there’s a reason they use two different keypads, but it does make for a byzantine process.

    Still, I haven’t been anywhere that’s up to par. Haven’t been to the Beaverton location, so I can’t speak to its quality, but if you’re looking for a regular store in SE Portland this is the way to go.

70. I’ve been to green planet twice just to pick up a small amount of their budget flowers and I’ve been disappointed both times. Their headband I purchased had seeds/ hermies, light damage, pm, no cure, no trim, and no density. It reminds me of smoking shake, but in bud form. The staff and environment are great, but their flowers aren’t.

71. I used to LOVE coming here weekly. I bought several joints SEVERAL times and am getting annoyed with pretty much wasting my money. Pretty much every gram joint I buy/bought (multiple times) have been IMPOSSIBLE to smoke. They are either ripping open from stems or you have to end up wasting the first part of the joint, not be able to smoke any of it and load it into a bowl. If I wanted to smoke out of my bowl I would of just gotten flower at that point. I love their other products and flower if they aren’t super dry and don’t have seeds.

When I brought the items back a couple of hours later, I was told by the manager that they would not accept a return for either because both were in working condition. I ended up having to buy another battery just to get the overpriced cartridge to work. There is really no customer service after they have your money. Buyer beware.

88. I had a great experience Sunday evening. Had really good customer service from Jamie. She was friendly, fun and easy to talk to. I enjoyed that she and I had some things in common and my shopping experience was quick and efficient. Their menu is HUGE and Jamie was kind and shared all strains I had curiosity about. dY~The prices are reasonable with a lot of selections in all tiers as well as a great discount for medical patients. This store has definitely more flower strains than others in the area and for that reason alone I plan to check out this place more regularly. The friendly customer service, quality product and great price are also other reasons I will return as well.

Amanda was the employee that worked with me through my shopping experience, she offered ideas, showed me many different products the store offered, answered all my questions, she made sure I didn’t without without my questions answered! 91. I’ve been a fan of Green Planet Milwaukie since they first opened on McLaughlin. Up and down McLaughlin are several dispensaries, large and small, none are as complete or as well priced as Green Planet.
    Today I brought in a friend who hasn’t had THC in his system for at least 40 years, and he was ready to dip his toes in again with caution.
    It was particularly important for this visit to work with a budtender who knew his stuff and wasn’t just an inexperienced clerk who knows the difference between Sativa and Indica. Fortunately, Adam was behind the counter, and he was great! Very knowledgeable, sensitive to listen to my friend’s questions, while responding with well-thought answers and empathetic insights; Adam was just the right man to make this shopping visit to Green Planet special.
    I continue to be grateful that Green Planet is an easy drive worth visiting.

94. OMG! I have been coming here since this place opened because it’s down the street from my personal business. Never had a problem once with any product and or equipment. Recently purchased a dry flower pin that I was not satisfied with and not a hundred percent sure if it worked because I am new to the dry pin vaping. Went back in today and was given the 710 discount considering that’s when I purchase the product, a refund on my other flower pen, and really good advice. Lisa and the manager are awesome! 97. Green Planet is a good spot. They have a huge selection of everything! Many options for Flower, concentrates, and edibles. 10% off for all medical purchases! They have strains on special pretty often. Daily Specials too! They also have an insane amount of glass and any piece of paraphernalia you could need! Vaporizers,Dab Rigs, E-nails, and tons of papers! Good spot to have in the neighborhood! Sometimes there can be a wait. Especially at the register, the system they have has the budtender bring your purchase to a bank of registers and a cashier completes your purchase. They never seem to have enough people at the cashier even as there are many other employees who aren’t busy. The only thing they are missing for me is $100 oz’s which are quite common in Portland. It’s definitely worth checking out! It’s a one stop shop!

Its one that i always keep in rotation. and i go to green planet on sundays to get it because they do a special called CBD Sundays and you get a nice discount! yesterday was fathers day too, and im a proud father of two girls, so i got an additional 15% off of my gram and a half of Pennywise, on TOP of the discount for cbd sunday! i ended up getting just over an 8th so the discounts basically more than doubled what i payed for! ya just cant beat that!

101. There is a TON of room inside to look around and there is always somebody there to meet and greet and help you with what you are looking for.
     They carry everything from edibles, wax,flower to pipes, bub’s,bongs, dab rigs, vaporizers and many many other accessories.
     This is my One-Stop-Shop to get everything I need. Prices are very reasonable and they have a very large selection of everything.
     Also, the Budtenders are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful

The flower prices were what I want from a shop very fair no gimmicks just value. Great selection and plenty of staff to help answer any questions. Will definitely be going back and would recommend you stop by and check it out.

107. Huge selection of products and had a great courteous tender who assisted me. Pricing is pretty much the same as everywhere else but the huge store was something I am not used to.

112. Went into here again tonight and as before, it was an excellent visit. I just can’t say enough good things about these guys. This is the type of place that has people you would want to hang out with they are just that great. One of the things I love is that I can go in, tell them what I’m in the mood for and they deliver spot on recommendations. The quality bud I’ve gotten here is on par with other dispensaries that have higher costs. They have a decent stock that has something for everyone. There are a few strains I wish they carried but since they seem to be hard to find strains ( Doctor Who anyone?), it is not a deal breaker. Again great visit. I highly recommend this shop to anyone. From beginners to experienced.

124. I love love love this place!! I have NEVER had a bad experience in here. No matter the amount of customers I have never waited more than a couple mintues for service on top of that they have so much glass to look at while you wait the time just flies by but more often then not you don’t have any wait time. They have a huge selection of flower and tons of discounted strains. On top of that they take CARD or Cash!! The employees are always super friendly and helpful. This is my regular spot! I have tried many other dispensaries and pass right by at least 5 others in order to get to this one. If you are looking for a fantastic weed buying experience and equally as amazing bud then check this place out for sure!

130. Wow, what a great experience as a first time rec customer… as a long time OMMP patient, I’ve seen a lot of shoddy medical only dispensaries, but this ref store blew all those out of the water. (In an amazingly good way). I’d been going to little Amsterdam for some time when I’d come out to Gladstone when I need a quick sack. I’m totally referring my friend to coming here instead of LA.
     It’s only .5 a mile away from there, too. Really friendly bud tenders, and respectful manager… she was awesome. Very open environment upon entering, no ID even required until purchase!Flame buds, very reasonably priced… thanks again for the gorilla glue #4 and snow bud! My friend will be bringing his business to your store now instead of LA dY~Z

132. I think the location is great and the employees are awesome BUT their menu on leafly is NEVER accurate!! I find this extremely frustrating! I go out of my way to go to this store specifically for something I see on the menu and they never have it! Because of this I will not shop there anymore. 133. On Friday I bought a new pax cartridge for an existing battery that has never had any issues. It was looser than normal, but a different brand than I had boughten in the past, so I wasn’t too worried. Today when I went to grab it the entire cartridge was gone. I had to retrace my steps to find it on the ground because it was not held in tightly. I called the dispensary and they said I could bring it in and return it. I drove 20 minutes to return it and was greeted by an extremely rude manager. The first going she said to me was “You needed to bring this to me sooner” when I was within the 3 day return period. I have worked everyday since the day I got this and have not had a spare moment to get across town. When I explained I talked to someone on the phone 40 minutes earlier about the issue, she said “well that person wasn’t a manager,” I was clearly told I could make the exchange on the phone and that is why I made the trip. And then told me it was not defective, when clearly it does not stay on my battery. I understand there are laws and rules, so if treated kindly I would have left without another word. But honestly she was extremely rude from the moment I walked in, no smiles or friendly welcome. She made me feel bad and dumb, and I don’t feel comfortable shopping at this location anymore.

137. This is a beautiful dispensary with amazing budtenders! Never rushed, tons of product to choose from. The budtenders are knowledgeable and aware of how much assistance/info you may need. Matt, is fantastic at what he does. Always has good recommendations and remembers repeat customers and what they prefer (speaking for myself, and have witnessed with others).

     My only complaint is the flower tends to run $2 more a gram than at other shops for the same batch… Example. Meraki Gardens Blueberry Headband is $8/gram at all other shops, $10/gram at Green Planet. Buuuuut, when you add in their impressive menu, clean, easily shoppable location, and employees that truly are amazing… The little extra on flower isn’t a big deal.
