1. This place is hidden treasure. Maybe a little too “hidden” as you might drive right by it…but once you find it, you won’t forget.

   I’ve done the tour of dispensaries in Eugene, but this is the place I always come back to. At this point, I don’t see any reason to go anywhere else.

   First off, the atmosphere. When you walk in the door of River Valley Remedies, you feel like you’ve stepped into a time machine, and been transported back to some alternate and much cooler past, where the local corner apothecary sells jars of sweet-smelling magic. No, you aren’t high already, it is just that someone with a strong sense of taste has apparently determined to build an atmosphere for adults; copper, wood and dark leather is the order of the day here. The seating area is enough to make you want to settle in with a good book while sending Jeeves off to retrieve the brandy.

   The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, at least as much as some other places in town, but these folks tend to have a greater grasp of the medicinal nature of their product, and have been happy to make excellent recommendations (in my case, I have neuropathy, and RVR has pointed me in the direction of my two most important relied-upon strains).

   Quality of product is excellent – I stick to flowers, so that is all I can judge by, but whoever selects them has a discerning eye. There are other dispensaries that might be equal in their quality selection, but I have found none better.

   Lastly, the deals are excellent, generous, and frequent. Be sure to check in with them for their specials, as they are worth coming back for.

   All said, I have found River Valley Remedies to be the all-around package of atmosphere, quality and professionalism. This is the place I recommend for others looking to narrow down their cannabis shopping destinations, and this is the place where I shop myself.

13. Good aesthetic from the moment you walk in the door, all the way to the counter. Their staff was very friendly and seemed to take pride in their work, which is always a plus in my book. Good range of prices and even some interesting non medicated products that sparked a bit of curiosity. I think i found my new home.

17. I love spending time in this store. The staff is extremely nice and knowledgable about their products, plus they are always smiling which often brightens my day! Aside from the awesome selection and deals, they also carry other non-THC herbs and tinctures like Kava root that my girlfriend loves! Highly recommend this shop.

19. What a lovely little hidden gem! Nestled right next to an auto shop on busy 7th Street, it’s easy to see how many folks might miss it. Parking in front is limited, but it’s easy to find ample parking in the large McDonald’s lot right next door.

    Inside you will find a beautifully designed little apocathary style dispensary. The decor is surprisingly tasteful and elegant…perhaps the nicest around.

    Staff have always been really laid back and fun to interact with; it seems as though they genuinely enjoy their workplace. They are also quick to let you know about great deals to be had, but they are never pushy and only seek to guide you to what you’re really interested in.

    Flower selection is usually relatively small, but their upper shelf strains are nicely curated for quality. I especially appreciate that they carry my favorite growers (Fox Hollow Flora) on a regular basis. Pricing is consistent with quality of flower.

    Their cartridge collection is small, but they always have a few brands to choose from. Their cartridge pricing seems competitive, overall.

    I come here for the friendly service and quality flower. They also offer a loyalty program through Weedmaps with some nice rewards in addition to regular weekly special deals.

20. Moved to Eugene recently and was overwhelmed by the number of shops in town. I checked out a couple around me but a friend brought me into River Valley Remedies and I am hooked. Some of the best wax prices I’ve seen in town and they’ve got FIRE weed. The service is awesome, budtenders are always really friendly and don’t try to sell me on what I don’t want. Plus I got a free dabber from their treasure chest just for coming in for the first time. Would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for a quality shop in Eugene.

22. This is a new shop for me, close enough to consider, so I checked out the Labor Day weekend deals. They offer something called Flints (I think), basically .5 gr of four different flowers from the same cost shelf, which works great for me. At a cost of about $3 for each one, I was able to try four strains at home for not a lot of money. Granted, I wasn’t impressed with three of them but there is one I like and it’s on the bottom shelf costwise, so trying small amounts of each worked for me. Cheaper than buying grams. They offer a senior discount although it didn’t show that this morning on the Leafly page. They also have a rewards program, but I don’t have a lot of detail on that. I always sign up because I am on limited income and welcome any deals or discounts I can get.
    There were a couple of problems, and since I do pinch those pennies, I went back on Labor Day and talked with (utoh….not sure I remember his name correctly… Benton?) the manager and he resolved everything for me. Nice place, some new staff I think, I suggest you have them confirm prices and quantity until you get to know them.

    bottom line, I like the product I got for the price I paid. I would suggest more choices for the cost-conscience among us, but I’ll return. Bring down the cost of cartridges a bit, too. Stay equal to the other shops in town.

23. Adore this place and their staff! Friendly and attentive, everyone makes me feel at home! I appreciate that they not only sell cannabis products, but other herbs and wellness supplements/tinctures/teas as well. As a medical patient I don’t feel left behind here! Total body and mind wellness. There’s so many options these days, but River Valley has my business from here on out! Highly recommend!

31. Love this shop! I recently attended their CBD workshop (for free!) and was blown away by the old apothecary atmosphere. I came back the next day for their CBD discount day and was happily surprised to find their normal 20% discount was bumped up to 30% for Thanksgiving! I stocked up on my favorite flower, Harlequin and when I told the sales associate about my back pain and she hooked me up with a 1:1 patch which works like magic! I’ve been back every Monday since to stock up on patches and have definitely found my new favorite dispensary. Thanks River Valley Remedies!

33. What I walked in I was instantly impressed with their layout and modern look. Both gentlemen were extremely friendly and the main gentleman who was helping me was very knowledgeable of the product and was trying to help me have a better experience when dealing with my pain management I will definitely be returning. However I do wish they had CBD cartridges and not just the disposable ones.

37. Hello Good People. The Ghost Head here and man, if you’re reading my words now, then please keep reading and then get ready to visit River Valley Remedies. I have visited almost every dispensary in the Eugene/Springfield area and after three years and getting to “know” certain shops and their owners, I can honestly say I have found a home for ALL of my medicinal cannabis needs. I live with complex regional pain syndrome and for the first time since I was diagnosed this past February, I SLEPT the other night! And have been sleeping since my renewed OMMP card came in the mail. This beautiful shop off the beaten path is Top Shelf across the board. Even their “deals” on cannabis exceed any deals I have found anywhere. I dare you to try the same. And also take into account the quality of what you’re purchasing. At RVR you know you’re getting Good Medicine. Every strain Ive tried there has a nice white ash after a burn, showing that its most definitely been properly flushed. The best bud tenders in town, an apothecary alongside the grade A cannabis, Yoga Sundays, great looking swag in the likes of t-shirts, hats, stickers/both for men and women of course. There’s literally nothing not to like about this dispensary. Yes, I’ve written review for other shops early on (two to three years ago), but this is a first because it truly is coming from the heart. Do yourself, your friends, and anyone you care about a favor and check out River Valley Remedies. As soon as you walk in if the smell of great medicine doesn’t lift you from whatever is ailing you (if you happen to be ill in anyway that is. If not, keeping with a good cannabis regiment is great for nerves/neurogenesis and an all around better quality of life; especially if you have to take pharmaceuticals like I must for my CRPS.) then the smiles of the bud tenders will. Each and everyone working there is highly knowledgable (pun most definitely intended), compassionate and patient with the customer; ready to answer any and all questions, no matter what questions they are. 39. Good store, quality products. Employees often seem confused. For example, I recently bought a second $80+ dollar gram of distillate, and after losing it, and spending 2 days exhausting myself trying to find it, I ordered a second. I have spina bifida, I live in severe pain, and I need my medicine. I usually order these things on whatever day they do a discount on concentrates on, but they’ve told me different days and different numbers for the discount, so I said screw it, and ordered. The budtender failed to let me know that if I’d waited another 12 hours, I would’ve gotten 25% off of both my $84 live resin, and the $50+ gram I ordered the next day, and another employee even said that it was wrong for them to not point that out to me. He said he was gonna bring it up to a manager. Never got any kind of callback. I’ve spent a lot of money at this place, and it’s a good store, so I plan to continue. I spent $250 there, and then spent another $200 in under 2 weeks. But at the same, they could do better in the consistency department. Basically, if something seems fishy, ask to speak to a manager. If I see a good deal on something I know is good, I’ll order. But I don’t know about recommending it to my friends. My reputation also has value…

40. I can’t say enough good things about this store. Their weed selection is not the largest but every time I go in there’s at least a few new strains. I get sick of the same strains over time so it’s good to have a different line up all the time. The only downfall is the popular strains sell out so fast! Their edibles are cheaper than anywhere else i’ve found so far. Not to mention their staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. If you haven’t been here yet you are sorely missing out.

42. Wow. Just… wow. I’ve been to a lot of dispensaries in the Eugene area. None of them have compared to this one. From the extremely warm welcome you get from the friendly (and amazingly knowledgeable) budtender right when you walk through the front door (none of that pesky “please wait in the waiting room while we try to make room for you” bull crap!), to the heavy discounts and amazing prices, to the absolutely stunning and calming atmosphere, this place, I can honestly say, has far out shown and out classed every other dispensary I have been to. Kudos, River Valley Remedies, and thank you for being so amazing.

43. Although a bit out of my way, I’m so glad I ventured out to River Valley Remedies. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it’s interior, style, and vibe is one of the nicest in Eugene. Great daily deals (20% off quality flower on Fridays brought me in). My budtender was kind and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back!

44. All I can say is wow. I normally don’t write reviews since most pot shops are all similar but this one is different.

    I’ve had my medical card for awhile and I must say I’ve been feeling discouraged with all the new recreational stores. This is the first place I’ve ever been that asked me what I medicate for. They even recommended I try a natural tincture for headaches that doesn’t even have weed in it and it works great. They have my business for life. Thank you for being so personable and making me feel like my needs matter. Everyone was super friendly and the store is one of the nicest in town. Can’t praise them enough!

45. Hello, Matt S., here. I could write a ten page essay as to why River Valley Remedies is the best dispensary in town, but that would bore everyone to the bone. The RVR family is like no other establishment in Eugene. Not only is their dispensary classy and full of great medicine, with bud tenders just full of knowledge, they’re also always smiling and happy. They really care. They ask about the you, the patient. They deliver! And they also have AMAZING deals on everything they carry. It used to be I’d go to wherever took a debit card, or was the closest and possibly the cheapest. Scratch all that! Because RVR has set the bar and set it High (pun most definitely intended dY~EUR)! They consistently blow me away. RVR is hands down my favorite dispensary, and the the good people of RVR are fast becoming friends. If you want an experience akin to a good dream, check out RVR. 47. Where do I begin with River Valley Remedies. I have gone to almost all the dispensaries in Eugene and this one by far is my favorite. Before I walked through the door I expected it to be another cookie cutter dispensary with mediocre flower. Man was I wrong!!! My eyes were immediately drawn to their apothecary decor and case of locally blown glass. Their celling tiles are absolutely mesmerizing too, make sure to look up when your there!! I was greeted by a friendly staff who gave me a quick run down of their deals/ items they carry. I found myself asking the budtender to pull down almost every jar to smell because they were all so dank, rarely does that happen for me. Then I looked over to see how their concentrate selection was and again was blown away. They have an amazing display case which really shows off the quality of the oil. When I started asking questions about oil they brought over a another budtender who was extremely knowledgeable when it came to extracts. I love the fact that when I asked the budtender a question they were unsure on they sought out another employee to help me. I can honestly say I have no bad reviews for River Valley Remedies. Keep up the good work and ill be sure to make it to your next workshop!!!

The atmosphere is laid back, I don’t feel rushed when I’m in there, and the staff is really helpful. Went to a mushroom seminar there too. 50. I had the best experience possible! I’ve been smoking flower and wax for a good time now and have felt with a lot of people that pretend to know what there talking about, but not here!!!! They have been able to answer every question and the coolest people ever love this place.

51. Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it’s beautiful inside. Very open, spacious, with a great selection and wonderful staff.

    I hurt myself while I was in there (100% my fault) and the staff was kind, caring, treated me with dignity, quickly got some ice for me, and very kindly steered me toward the perfect strain. As soon as I got home and lit up, all of my pain and stress evaporated. Dawgy Treats is hands down my new favorite strain.

    I’m sure that everyone who was in there remembers my visit, and I really want to thank all of you. I live in Bandon, but I’ll definitely be visiting again when I am next in your area.

77. Best shop in Eugene hands down. Don’t let the outside fool you. Once you step in this shop, its like you stepped back in time and not in a gimmicky, cheap themed way. Its decorated like an old apothecary but is somehow modern and elegant. The budtenders are all extremely friendly and not to mention knowledgable. I recently attended one of their workshops on mushrooms and am looking forward to the next one.

81. this is by far my favorite shop!! and i have been to a lot. it is cohesive im flow and design. the employees are nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. they always have a wide selection and even the cheaper end is always a great quality. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!
