Botanica is the best dispensary in Portland. It is straight-forward and approachable, which is great for amateurs and experts alike. They also offer really great prices and take pride in getting top quality products. The staff are always very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable.
I think this place is located in a weird area or better yet hard to see unless your directly I. front cause it’s so small. But the people who work here are great and have a great product available.

This place stinks, I came on a monday 15 mins after opening time after 11am. Nobody was there, no answer when I tried calling. I needed a certain strain they had, I’ll never ho back.
This location is right by my work so not only is it convenient but they always have great deals and friendly staff.

One time the film canister theybsold me, presumably containing a gram, i discovered WAS EMPTY when I returned to my car. they returned my money promptly when I returned. it wasn’t weighed in front of me.
another time I bought a gram of dab oil and it was all over the outside of the silicon container inside the plastic bag. COMPLETELY UNUSABLE. TOTAL WASTE. I WENT BACK AND HE WENT THROUGH A NUMBER MORE BEFORE TRYING TO SELL ME ANOTHER ONE IN WORSE CONDITION. finally he just sold me the one they had on display.
totally unreliable quality of products, they are never sold as advertised. BE VERY CAREFUL BUYING FROM THIS SHOP.

So, I’ve been here a few times now, as well as the one on Foster (which has a better selection!), and I’ve been pretty impressed. They have a number of growers but it’s mostly Vita Organics, which seems to be in house. I’ve tried a few of their strains, and I’ve been exceedingly impressed.
They have classics and cool new strains I’ve never seen before, as well as an amazing selection of CBD stuff. They have this one strain that has 23% CBD, that’s ridiculous. All the flower they carry is gorgeous and has a deep bouquet, but I’ve been particularly fond of their Matanuska Thunderfuck and Deep Purple. I’ve really not seen this much consistency in quality at many dispensaries.
The last time I went in I wanted the Gorilla Glue but was convinced to get the Bruce Banner. I was pretty skeptical before I tried it but when I did I was so happy to find that was EXACTLY what I had been wanting. Andrew, the guy who runs their Instagram, is super knowledgable when it comes to cannabis, it’s great to talk about the plants with him, and he’s very helpful with effects, and ALSO believes in trusting your nose.
I’ve felt really comfy in both locations. The people are great and so is their flower. Thanks for doing what you do!

My first visit to Buckman Cannabis this week was a fantastic experience.
From the moment you enter the waiting area, the atmosphere was warm and very positive. Once inside, the “budtender” was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and very willing to answer all of my questions. The quality of the medicine was fabulous. I’ve been to 15+ Dispensaries in the Portland area over the past 2 years and Buckman Cannabis is one of the best experiences I’ve had to date. I will most definitely be visiting again soon and couldn’t give a higher recommendation. Prices are awesome as well. Buckman Cannabis is well worth checking out, you won’t be disappointed!

I’m a big fan of Botanica. I see familiar faces whenever I visit, which makes me feel comfortable even though I find dispensaries a bit intimidating. I never feel like a dope when they help me figure out what kind of flower or edible I’m looking for to suit my needs. I’m a regular here and they’re always my first stop!

While this dispensary does have a consistently fantastic selection of recreational flowers, the real high point for me is the staff. Everyone that works at Botanica is clearly there because they love what they do; they are always incredibly friendly, helpful, and patient. I have learned to trust their recommendations and am always thrilled with the results.
The space is a tiny bit cramped and if they only have two budtenders working, it can feel like you’re holding up the line sometimes. Additionally, you may have to wait a little bit in the lobby as there isn’t a dedicated check-in person… but to be honest, having to wait in the lobby means to me that they are taking time and care for each and every customer/patient, which you’ll see when it’s your turn to go in!
All in all, this is my favorite dispensary. I’d highly recommend checking it out, plus you get a nice little discount coupon your first time in, which did get me back in the doors again.

Budtender likes to bad mouth other dispensaries, often on social media. Shows their level of professionalism within the industry. Don’t even need to see their meds to know that they have something to be insecure about.

My dispensary of choice, due to location and reliability. Product is priced reasonably, location clean and inoffensive. Prerolleds are the best I’ve seen from any location I’ve bought from, flower includes a good variety of strains/concentrations. Employees are reasonably professional. Would appreciate it if the dispensary had high-cbd strain prerolleds in stock.

Great place. The staff is very nice, the product is high-quality, and you get a free pre-roll if you use their ATM (since the ATM charges a $3.50 fee). The line can get long, but they do that so there’s a 1:1 ratio for employee to customer.

My brother lives across the street from here and we go in all the time not just for the convenient location, but these guys hav etop shelf product for a very not so top shelf price. the staff are always super freindly and very knowledgeable and helpful when trying to find a strain or product to fit my needs, whether its stress, pain left over from my surgery, or something to help me just plain unwind and space out the day
This place is pretty standard for Portland. The people are alright, not overly friendly and knowledgable, but they have a decent selection of product. Biggest complaint is that they are constantly making their top-shelf flower only available by the gram
The neighborhood has dispensaries a plenty so it took a little bit of time to get around to this one. It’s a gem! The staff is helpful, not pretentious. The flowers are cured well and I was pleased to find that prices are also competitive. I will return, and recommend this shop to anyone looking for high quality cannabis

I really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and cleanliness. The budtender that was there was Shaleala (spelling?) and she was very patient with all my questions. The owner Isaac is really nice also. The products are over the top quality and carefully selected. I would refer any patient of mine there for pain or PTSD relief. I tested the awesome chocolate on my post operative wife and she put the oxy away. I tried the cookie and needed the whole thing instead of the recommended dose. I might try the chocolate next time. I love this place. I would say the prices are pretty fair also.

I visited for the first time last week and it’s a keeper. Been back 3 more times since. I love everything about this dispensary except parking is a crap-shoot as always. $5 pre rolls, free for 1st time visit or if you have to use the atm. Every staff member has been very patient, knowledgeable and super helpful. Great selection of top shelf flower, and high end. Feels like a steal for the cost. They even have a couple strains of $25 eights. Don’t overlook this gem.

Was a great place to get your med’s till that decided to raise their prices. Now it’s not worth the the drive. Your prices is what kept me and my roommate coming in, that’s what made you stand apart for all the other’s. Now the same meds I bought a couple weeks ago have gone up $3.00 per gram and $10.00 and 1/8th. Thanks for the great pricing while it lasted.
I used to come here all the time before Recreational sales began. Since then every policy change has been anti-patient, and it’s no longer a place where I can get the medicine I need.

The place has really gone downhill since my last time there. Major upselling by the bud tender and advertising specials that were not available and had not been for over a week. I won’t be going back and I told friends and the band about it so they will most likely lose some business.

Great product with a sweet and knowledgable budtender. They have some killer deals on flower and a good selection in general. White lemon is my new favorite! The highlight though, is the people who run the place. I felt very comfortable.
Selection isn’t huge but has lots of top shelf product. The lavender kush is one of the better pure indicas that I’ve ever tried.
Service is personal and top notch.

Well laid out, clean shop with a focus on quality & service. The flowers I got were top shelf, perfect for what ails me, & tasty at a great price. The locally made organic caramels were awesome at fighting my pain with ease of dosing. I was grateful for the product knowledge, recommendations, & compassion of their bud tender.

their obama deal for 150 a oz is one of the better deals i ran into in town . i will definitely be going back for more . The staff seemed pretty chill and friendly . The place itself was nice, clean, and professional. The selection looked adequate , not the biggest but i did like the selection and for the quality of their strains this place is a great deal since other places run about 20 to 60$ more an ounce.

I’ve been to this location many times, and the one in SE is pretty awesome as well. They always have a great selection of high CBD buds, and all of their products are priced quite fairly. The staff have always been very friendly, knowledgeable, and seem to really take their time with each individual. Would highly recommend.

Formally known as Buckman Cannabis(sits square in the Buckman hood of Portland) and a long-standing, O.G. of PDX dispensaries, it is still a hidden gem. All flower is super fresh, and they keep a large and unique inventory for such a small location. It’s a little cramped and you might have a wait a few, and if you get any budtender other than Andrew or Lisa, the service may be a bit lacking, but if quality and fair cost are important to you, you’ll overlook that and “weed out” the “meh”.
Check out their Snoop’s Blue Dream, Jack The Ripper and Quantum Kush, all outstanding.
Best little flower shop in Portland. always happy and friendly very knowledgeable and always on point with suggestions and comparisons. I stop in several times a week now and will keep doing so for the foreseeable future.

After the first time I went to Botanica, I decided they would be my go-to dispensary. First of all, they let me bring my dog inside, but that was just the start of their kindness. They spent more time with me than any person at any dispensary. They explained to me the differences between all of their pens as well as the differences in strains. One of the girls there event spotted me the 25 cents I needed to buy some flower. All of this was great, but the best part was the price!

BotA!nica has been my go-to place for grabbing joints in the Buckman area. The budtenders are incredibly sweet, friendly people. The shop is small, pretty limited stock when it comes to edibles but as I mentioned earlier, definitely a great spot for leaf and pre-rolled joints.
I’ve been to this dispensary multiple times and I usually don’t do reviews but because they are so friendly, knowledgable (and not annoyed to share it) and just an overall great place to go, I’d definitely recommend it.
The strain suggestions have time and time again been ON POINT! Not once has anyone at Botanica seemed rushed to answer questions or annoyed– they’re very helpful all the way through to the entire process. Every product I’ve gotten there has been tasty and what I had been looking for when I originally asked. Definitely recommend this dispensary 🙂
