    Prices in the $7.50-$8.50/gram were nice to see and should be where they are all priced at. Especially the ‘organic’ LIIV brand for $7.50 price. However, a majority of companies who do not even have organic product are way out to lunch on their prices which will just support the black market. ‘CORPORATE GREED’ at it’s finest yet again. Their product probably, and hopefully, will not sell. People will just go back to the black market and another GREED flop run by the Government.

    Finally got my package, about a month after I ordered. To make things more disappointing, everything is so damn dry and is just not worth it for the price. It was a one and done deal for me. Going back to the local dispensaries where I can get a great oz for $150.

There’s about 40 different legal providers across Canada and some how there’s a shortage? Weren’t you guys prepared for this?     Horrible experience. Ordered on the 18th of October and still haven’t received it yet! Took 4 days to reply to my email. They probably underestimate the amount of orders, but at the same time they had over a year to figure their shit out! I know some of the blame is due to the Canada Post strike, but we were told that accommodations would have been made. Would have never order from them if I knew it would have been this bad. They really messed up!

    OCS has to tell Canada Post exactly what you are buying (marihuana) which leads to all employees who deal with the package knowing, and if you pick it up at a post office be prepare for the employees to loudly let everybody know what you purchasing. “you need ID for these packages” “The new laws with “these” packages.”

    I had a co-worker ask me about my marihuana use because he was in the same post office a me when i picked up my order…Never again. I’d rather order illegally and discreetly.

    I too have been waiting for a shipping date for over 2 weeks. I have received 2, what I am assuming are mass generated emails. The 2nd of the 2 blaming producers for mislabeling the products. I guess it’s running like a regular government operation……. This horrendous attempt at regulating this product, would have never fallen so flat, had they let the dispensaries sell the product. They were great at it.

    My first order got flagged by Canada Post, so after about 3+ weeks of waiting Canada Post said my package aEURoesmelt too strongaEUR and had to be sent to the undeliverable mail depot.
    OCS was very helpful in explaining once they get the confirmation my order was aEURoereturned to senderaEUR I’d get a refund.
    My Second order came really quickly. It does seem a bit dry, all 4 strains, but what I’ve tried so far hasn’t been too bad.
    I will order more, hoping for some really nice fresh product next time tho.

    this place still sucks, and yes their was a lot fixed dry bud can also be fix, but you know what can’t be fix ? all the buds priced under 11$ suck smell like nothing or just smell weird. the good stuff is overprice there is no middle grown when they have fair prices and skunk bud than they can get a 5 star review , at this point most of us are just waiting for April 1 so storefronts can take over. the other online dispensaries are way better than this have better bud and better prices

    Received my second order from the OCS today. Redecan Shishkaberry. The weed is so dried out that it is actually brittle and will “snap” in half. First order was from Seven Oaks, also shishkaberry. Was dried out bad but nowhere near the Redecan. I will not be ordering from there again.

    Quality very poor. The buds were totally dried out and turned to dust. All other reviews note the same poor quality, lack of moisture content, dried out buds. I tried several strains. All the same issue.

    Way to much packaging; I ordered only 7 grams and the box was huge. And the type of plastic container packaging is not helping with moisture content issue noted above.

    Lack of quality will drive people to black market and I will never purchase via this method again. This system will never work if black market continues provides a proper quality product at lower prices. Perhaps the upcoming quasi privatization and licensing of storefronts will improve quality of what can be bought legally.

    I have been a passionate supporter of cannabis legalization in Canada since I began smoking it way back in 1994 as an underage high school kid and going to legalization rallies with my friends.

    I have always been happy to commit civil disobedience in the form of choosing what I put in my body and who I get it from. But on October 17, 2018, I was feeling very proud to be Canadian, and decided to give the legal system a try (although the Ontario government clearly realized that the OCS online option alone was not nearly sufficient to meet demand until retail licenses were also handed out, as they will be in the spring).

    The site is DREADFUL to the point that it was clear I would be frustrated with the product and/or delivery if I tried to make a purchase, so I didn’t even bother. They use a Shopify template with no meaningful design or customization. They use non-standard strain names so you can’t check on Leafly to see what people think. They don’t have reviews or * ratings themselves so you can’t see if you’re wasting your money / buying a product you’re likely to enjoy. And they don’t even show you a picture of the actual cannabis, just some stupid cigarette-pack style container with branding for the grower and generic warning labels.

    The education section is stupid and doesn’t tell you anything about what strains to use for what effect. That is so DUMB if the government is serious about reducing harm through knowledge – for example, I know, as an experienced cannabis user, that smoking a little sativa on your lunch break is unlikely to impair focus or performance at the office… but God help me if I use indica for any activity other than bedtime or weekend chillaxing.

    Sadly, the exact consumers most likely to tolerate the confusing and inefficient OCS are the ones least likely to know such vital harm reduction information – which is why the OCS should be syndicating educational content from Leafly if they are too uncomfortable being in the position of government nanny and cannabis promoter simultaneously.

    Anyways, I soon ended up at my favorite illegal dispensary (it’s a chain, with 3 locations in Toronto). Where I did not have the benefit of lab analysis of the strains I was buying, nor of proof that the strains were even accurately represented – which kinda sucked given that legalization was intended to solve such problems (and has in other provinces and in states like CO and CA where it’s been done wholeheartedly instead of reluctantly as in Canada).

    At the dispensary, I waited in line for 90 minutes on a weeknight – because the Toronto bylaw enforcement morons, in their infinite wisdom, had decided to go and shut down every dispensary in the city the moment legalization became reality – EXCEPT the 3 very professionally run shops I speak of here. CAFE is the name, “Cannabis And Fine Edibles”

    I asked several staff members “how are you going to get a license if you’re continuing to operate from now till April?” and their responses clearly suggested that their chain had been secretly greenlighted by the Ontario government (or that a bribe had been paid, but I doubt that – sounds more like a pilot for licensing and / or attempt to decrease black market demand in our biggest city during the interim period where the only legal supplier acknowledged by the govt is the OCS, and which even they fully know is a joke.

    Let’s stop wasting tax money on this absurdity of a site, and redirect it towards expediting the issuance of licenses to the many local small business owners who have been forced to shut down for 6 months due to bureaucratic ineptitude!

    Where to start…

    Having received no shipping notification, I emailed to ask for an update after 5 business days. I got a fairly prompt reply telling me to call the customer service phone # if my order didn’t ship the next day.

    Well, the joke is on me, that customer service phone # hasn’t been working – callers just receive an automated message saying the phone system is overwhelmed and can’t accept incoming calls.

    I emailed back on the weekend (8 business days at this point), and was told that “Canada Post is working over the weekend and will be picking up your order, you will receive the shipping notification shortly, with delivery early this week”.

    Now 10 business days later, and my order (13###) still hasn’t shipped.

    This has been pathetic service and a pathetic performance, even for the government.

    After seeing the way that legalizing cannabis helped Colorado, I was committed to buying legally, once the OCS opened.
    I have ordered 4 times, since the opening. I cannot bring myself to order again. No descriptions, pictures and lousy nondescript descriptions of products.
    The first time I ordered, I was presently surprised – not too much over street, and great quality. I’ve not seen that strain offered again. Now all of the buds are tiny, tiny.. and the break into dust when you pinch them. When grinding, no dust at all.
    The price has risen to a crazy amount. I payed $350, and waited 7 days, for what I could gotten with a phone call, within a day, for almost half the cost. Really, don’t waste your time. Not until they get the bugs worked out and have increased their credibility.

    Discarding the “First Come, First Served” service model and filling orders out of sequential order is nonsense and the poorest customer service I’ve ever heard of. Imagine if you got to McDonald’s 1st customer when they opened and a queue formed behind you before you were served, then when the server starts taking people he starts at the back of the line. Anarchy. I don’t know how it can possibly be justified, who decides what orders are filled if not in sequential order? My order was placed on the 17 and now folks placing orders on the 21st etc are getting products that should have been earmarked for my order but now they’re being retroactively sold out before earlier orders are filled. Literally. Mind. Boggling.

    No communication from the ocs at all. They release the same statements over and over, “b-but Canada post went on strike half a week after we opened” “b-but you guys placed 100,000 orders on day 1” “B-but we did the wrong research and didn’t knoOow demand would be this high” Every statement reads like a contrived excuse to pass the buck somewhere else. Take ownership of the problem and commit to a solution, passing the buck doesn’t get cannabis shipped to the folks who’ve purchased it just under 2 weeks ago.

    The OCS has a complete and total lack of transparency, nobody knows where their orders are, how orders are being filled, how oversold product is, what product will look like when it arrives (the world’s most expensive shake by some people’s photos), what this plan b for shipping is. No order updates: did they pick my order? Is it waiting for CP pickup? Nobody knows. I have not been able to reach the call centre for a week. No replies to emails.

    I could go on and on and I don’t even have my product yet. Would never recommend, and would never shop here again if they weren’t holding the legal market hostage in Ontario.

Why pay $17.50 a gram, for some high quality bud, when WeedMaps offers the SAME Cannabis for $3.57 a gram! for $80 I got 28 grams! on OCS, 28 grams is easily over $400!! I’m never going to buy from OCS again! horrible experience! terrible prices! disgusting customer service! how disgraceful to the industry!

    Giving OCS the benefit of the doubt when they first opened up due to all their issues was something most of us did. Leaving Canada Post and the delivery system out of the picture, OCS is pure chaos. I had absolutely no issue with receiving my packages days later and Canada Post did an excellent job in my area. The quality of cannabis from this website is unacceptable! My final order is my absolute last and I will explain why. No company mentioned, I received couple different strains and the buds were horribly grown. I had to trim up the bud myself due to them not trimming the leaves up upon harvest. Not only that, but I had to also cure their own mistakes so I could have a clean smooth smoke. I lost a .2 off each gram in just leaves. The smoke itself is harsh and tastes like garbage because they are to busy focusing on the $ sign instead of finishing the job properly. I have received 1 order that actually did contain mold which can cause serious health problems but luckily I caught onto it right away! I’m not sure who the hell they have growing their cannabis and even worse who inspects the end result. Lastly, I’m missing a few orders out of my package. I have sent OCS an e-mail and I have gotten no response days later. 0 customer service and -5 quality cannabis. No problem at all OCS, no need to respond to my e-mail and you can keep your schwag that you didn’t send, I really don’t need it! Bye OCS! Never ever again! I guess any monkey can grow a plant and throw a price on it.

    So, I’ve never been really big into the stoner culture or anything. I just kind of went to friends houses and smoked up until i got to college. Once that happened, I used it every now and then, and mostly to get me to sleep, So once weed got legalized in canada, I decided to check out the OCS store.

    Off the bat, the store was very pleasing. It was very adult, and seemed to be quite professional. The product selection was a bit underwhelming. The first thing I wanted to do was buy some pineapple express, and watch pineapple express, yet they only had 50 strains, and even then two of them were the same. But, I will say, I’ve ordered about 12 strains, and all of them were very nice, and honestly, worth the price.

    Now, for the shipping. I haven’t had too many problems, my first order took a week to get to me, but that was at the start, I can understand the delay, But I cannot fathom how some of my friends who ordered at 12:01 on october 17th, still haven’t gotten their order. I can’t believe that a government officiated business can keep so many people in the dark, with only a “we’re really busy here, please be patient” email that we all got.

    I still think it’s a bit negligent that there are so many people kept in the dark, but I think that in due time, the service will improve, and we’ll be left with something pleasant.

    I got 4 strains, all fire. For what they have, the quality is all I could ask for.
    Service, well, it’s a website, so I can’t smell or choose a bud of course, but even in the huge legalization rush I get my order the next day, so 4/5 seems fair.
    Atmosphere, well, I am not huge on the layout of the site, but it will improve, plus it is government run so they do have messaging everywhere which is a bit preachy about maybe not getting the strongest possible, but it’s new, I think it’ll improve and it’s not like in liquor stores they are suggesting to only buy the over-proof, so we’ll all get used to that. 3/4 even though it’s a website and atmosphere might not really be a thing a website can have.

    I’ve ordered on October 18th and still have not recieved anything…..they said you should get a 2nd email when shipped but my product still hasn’t even left there warehouse yet. Sent an email to inquire never got a response back. Cant get anyone on the phone either. So basically there is no customer service lol…..very disappointed. They should have been well prepared for this. Its definitely gonna be my first and last time ordering weed online. Not to mention that there prices are very high!!! Not worth the hassle and wait. I do not recommend using them. OCS get your shit together we have been waiting for this for a long time and you guys have DROPPED THE BALL BIG TIME. Stop using Canada post as an excuse my order hasn’t even left your warehouse yet!

    First experience with OCS so far has been weak to say the least, got my order (# 10xxx) in at 12:30am the 17th, didn’t receive a shipping notification till the 24th and then finally received the notification that it shipped today, the 26th, says its not supposed to arrive till the 29th. Thats pretty much 9 business days when i was initially told 1-3 days for product. Ive emailed them twice to check on my order with zero response. Customer service is obsolete. Just wondering why they were so unprepared for opening night, most of Canadas population lives in this province and about 40+ percent of the adult population uses. Just think of the numbers…. They really shit the bed with this. I’ve already read online that many orders in the 100k invoice range have been packed, shipped and received. The lack of organization fully makes sense with a Govt run organization. Hopefully they sort these issues out ASAP, i can see many, many long time users avoiding this service all together. I wish we had alternate options.

    Ordered almost a week ago and it seems like they did not even reach for the package, throw a label on it and put it on the ready to deliver shelf yet. Most of the wanted products in mid-high quantity amounts are always crossed out and unavailable while everything is available dime by dime. New products come out and you may only purchase it dime by dime once again. What’s the point? Almost 2 months later and it’s getting worse if anything.

They need to send more update emails so people know what’s going on. No telephone. And took forever for customer service to answer the email. However, ordered on October 19. Got the package on Nov 2.

    overpriced, over dried, no.cure, badly trimmed pot. why do we pay more for the same bud over bc and quebec? how can we be charging that much? you want me to go to the black market? the website will link you to products that are out of stock, but you cant search for those ones, and no current thc rating is even listed… so you cant see it, cant smell it and you get a range of thc from 9-21% thc sometimes… so if i need a high thc strain it might be that one, but it also might be useless for me… what a joke, get your sh** together

    Positives:
    -Cannabis arrived within a week despite a labour disbute involving Canada Post
    -Cannabis was labeled clearly and packaged cleanly with informative labels
    -Website was easy to use

    Negatives:
    -All the cannabis I ordered came as considerably small buds
    -Cannabis was very expensive ($9-13/g)
    -Cannabis arrived bone dry
    -Only enjoyed one of the three strains I ordered, and found myself severely disappointed with the other two
    -Even a few weeks after legalization, almost all strains were sold out in smaller quantities (1g,3.5g)
    -No pictures of the flowers on the website, just a dozen different angles of the packaging

    Overall Impression: Very poor.

    Is it just me or does everything from OCS smell “Earthy” like dirt.
    I love the smell of good weed. And I’ve ordered 6 different strains. Nothing smells like nice fresh weed. It all has this “earth” smell and taste.
    So is legal weed all gonna smell like that?

    I can’t wait to be able to smell what I’m buying.

    Was this my first time there? No
    I’d recommend this place to a friend? Not much choice.
    I’d shop here again? Not much choice.

    LOL someone said they never got the 5$ for the October 17 orders, NO ONE DID!!. also when you buy 7g you get a bigger discount then if you were to buy 7g in 2 separate 3.5g quantities WHY can’t the system be better, and ya the thc is higher on 3.5g but 3.5g or 7g they both come from the same plant.. just learn to grow your own. and if you need to see these guys than BOY PRAY YOUR NOT Disappointed at the end!!!

    As this is the only legal option in Ontario, Canada at the moment, I don’t want to rate this too low but I do agree with all the negative reviews. ocs.ca really needs to up their game. The filtering on the search does not work well and loses it’s settings the moment you come click back from a product details. I mean, really? Having to re-enter filter details every time seems like a major bug to me. I do like the fact that the site is plain, without excess clutter on the page. I do wish they would have a profile option for turning off the “Need advice?” banners that come up in the middle of search results.

    Ok I’m going to agree with most. I can’t believe they called regular run of the mill M39 some fancy dream name. The buds are so small and over dry. They clearly didn’t switch to only water for the last 2 weeks of growth because the bud smells and tastes like fertilizer, super harsh on the throat. I was giving OCS the benefit of the doubt to give it a whirl and I am sorely disappointed. Not to mentioned I payed 3 times street value to receive this garbage in an oversized jar, but I can guarantee it will never happen again. This experience only solidifies my believe that conglomerates ruin everything they touch. This lA(c)galisation went from something amazing I never thought I’d see in my lifetime to wishing they had never legalized it and completely butcher a good thing.

    I ordered at 12:19 am on October 17th, my order was in the low 6000. Delivery was supposed to be 1-3 business days. It has now been 8 business days and my order has still not even shipped.

    Turns out the OCS has decided to not ship or even to prepare orders in sequential order. It’s sickening to see people who placed their orders days after I did, receive their orders. I’ve called and emailed repeatedly and each representative had given me different excuses. The first rep said it would be shipped that day. The next one said that my order hadn’t even been picked from the shelves yet. The next two had the gall to ask me if I was sure I hadn’t received it yet. Anytime I wanted to escalate to a supervisor they said that it would be at least an hour wait or more. It’s now been three days and my email still hasn’t been responded to.

    My last call yesterday was a request to cancel my order since they said it still hadn’t been shipped. They said that they cannot cancel it and I’d have to refuse delivery. When I asked them how long it would take to reverse the charge once I refused it, the agent said it could take up to a full month.

    I’m not even going to start talking about how the THC/CBD levels change one day to the next on the website or that the levels printed on product labels don’t match what was shown on the website at the time of order.

    I am embarrassed to be an Ontarian and be the laughingstock of the rest of Canada. The OCS says it’s committed to Ontarians but the only person who I feel any actual commitment from is my local dealer.

    can’t trust this website, they mess up as soon as they fix something. first they say they will refund people for the October 17 Shipping cost which may i remind you is only 5$ never happened. then they sell us super dry product with most being bad product not close to what the streets have, then someone decided is okay for you to pay over 10 13 18 dollars a gram, and now the only company with a reputable product line decides to again mess up San Rafael decided since so many people are buying their product to increase their grams from 12.10$ or 76$ for 7 grams to a crazy 13.55$ or 82.90$ for 7 grams is annoying because usually demand creates better prices here demand means seeing how much they can keep charging you, this is the last straw for me have you wonder why you can’t leave feedback directly on the site for the product your getting ? cause their sales would plummet, but since there is not many people in Canada i hope everyone realizes how poor quality they are and their sales plummet anyway

    I have only browsed the OCS website and not made any purchases. I have not heard of 75% of the strains for sale. No strain lineage is given. Product details are vague. No product pictures. Some very wide ranging THC levels (saw some that were 12-20%. That’s a big difference…so which is it?). Shipping delivery times are already up to 5 business days. Pricing is not at all competitive with the “black market” except in very small quantities, which they said they would need to do to get rid of the “black market”. And the prices will only rise from here. Very unimpressive yet completely expected. I already feel like we were better off before government-controlled weed.

    I have only begun using cannabis a couple of years ago, so pricewise can’t offer any comment. I found using the OCS site easy and straightforward. The product arrived quickly and well packaged. I use for pain and stress relief and the Godbud I ordered did the job just fine. No complaints here.

    Terrible customer service. Phone lines don’t pick up most of the time.. when they do, you may hear the answering message as “Dave set the building on fire”. Orders being cancelled left right and centre without emails or notice. People having half orders sent and cannabis weighing in less than it is labeled or purchased for. THC and CBD content discrepancies (website lists much higher than what people are receiving). Packaging is absurd – 16 boxes for half an ounce of cannabis.. some packaged 1g to 1 6″x6″x6″ box. People with order numbers in the 100,000’s are having their parcels delivered when the ones who ordered in the first half hour or so of the site going live (myself included) are still waiting to hear ANYTHING at all. No Contingency plan when the postal strike hit.. when we were promised a contingency plan. Receipt states 1-3 day delivery, its been 7 business days. I’ve emailed 3 times now and have heard nothing. This has been, undoubtably, the worst internet purchase/ experience I’ve ever had.

    I’ve ordered about 30 grams from OCS & I’ve found all the flower to be dry as a bone to the point where it crumbles to almost dust. It’s much more expensive per gram than other dispensary’s.More than half the individual grams I order weigh light . They are opaque as an organization & have rules like you cannot return any product after it’s been opened. How are you supposed to know if there’s any problem like mould, bugs or whatever without opening it. If they do take something back they charge a $10 restocking fee. They sent me an order through Canada Post that had no tracking updates for 2 months, I wrote them 3 timed with lousy or no response. Finally Canada Post Contact’s me to tell me the package is lost , they cannot find it, & they don’t expect to find it. I finally called OCS which launched a 10+ day investigation that seems from my end to have consisted of them sending me letters threatening to close the investigation if Canada Post tried to contact me & I didn’t respond . After 3 weeks of then hearing nothing I called again and then was told it would be escalated to the refund team. 12 business days after that I called & was told the refund team would refund me for the $16 within another 10 business days. It’s over 3 months & they still have not refunded a $16 transaction.. I have dispensary’s that will send me higher quality products for less money & if there’s a mailing problem will resend to me immediately, those dame vendors will make any problems or issues right. The government is frankly the worst drug dealer I’ve ever had & until they offer me a better option , I’m going to stick with the black market. Every time I deal with the OCS I feel like they really could care less about my business or bothering to give me the quality , service & product quality that as a customer I deserve . I’ll only use them now for something very specific like a low THC strain. Other than that I stay away.

    all grams should be 10$ from the soil to the light bill at most every plant cost about 400$ to produce but yield about 1300$-2000$ that’s if you sell at 10$ a gram and one producer has hundreds of plants and few workers so ya *the Gov also said grams would be 7$ at most to kill the black market (ya right) that never happened. also if all buds are the same price people won’t feel cheated when they buy 7G of something that is bush next put the dam weed in bags, i’m mad because you have a bunch of bush and the kush is overprice but most people don’t care they just want moist sticky buds, so bags <

    Finally got my order.

    The Good:
    Quality buds for the most part. A few REALLY nice strains aEURoeDelahazeaEUR & aEURoeNorth Star CBDaEUR stand out, and Blue Dream is sensational quality but way over priced.

    The Bad: Website has no photos of actual buds. Needs to be linked to Leafly for ratings and reviews + strain info. Prices are at times outrageous. Over $16 per gram on a 3.5g order is brutal.

    The Ugly: Delivery time was 9 days past promised delivery date. Tons of waste being created for every order. We don’t need a bullet proof container for every strain we order. The bag cannafarms used for Blue Dream is sufficient.

    The parcel had to be picked up in person with photo I.D., signed for, and mail clerk wrote down my birth date as well, saying how weird that all this was necessary and apologizing.
    The buds came in ridiculously elaborate child safe packaging, were overpriced and so dry they crumbled to dust between my fingers.
    At this point I don’t care about the weed, I will not be back for more.

    There is nothing good to say about the OCS. Forcing me to give 1 star feels like giving too much credit.
    I placed an order on the FIRST day and I’m still waiting for it just about 5 weeks later.
    Nobody knows where it is, yet they won’t provide a refund until it’s been delivered. So I don’t have my order or money and I’m in limbo indefinitely.
    On top of that, customer service is terrible. Days between replies, a phone line that doesn’t accept phone calls, questions unanswered.
    I asked for a manager to contact me and waited almost a week.I got no answers, but when I mentioned the consumer protection act, I was told she wasn’t exactly sure what that was.
    Well done OCS, It’s like you tried to do the worst job possible.

    I tried to place an odder the day it opened and my odders would not go through. so I said f-it a week later I finally was able to place an odder but I learned from the first time and placed anther odder from somewhere else which arrived a day before and was placed two days after oddering from the ocs. SO POOR delivery service plus the fact that you have to pay five bucks for any odder no matter the amount its kinda bs considering the price are kinda already high. The site is also a joke to navigate however its getting better. its new service and there are going to be kinks however if they cant fix the problems soon I could see me looking else where, even if the weed is not to bad if im honest just abit dry and stale which I again is not exceptible yet considering the circumstances understandable. IF WE are real here OCS WEED IS WAY BETTER then some of these bootleg store fronts but is on par with most online places.

    The prices seem fair and the selection is surprisingly good. The website is very clean and easy to navigate, wouldn’t mind seeing some improvements to the product filter section, but otherwise no complaints.
    The worst part is by far the service. I can completely understand the overwhelming number of orders, but at the same time, this is something that could have been easily predicted and planned for. The lack of communication is incredible: a simple mass email apologizing and explaining the reasoning behind the delay would have definitely helped those who have ordered and haven’t heard a thing about their orders for almost a week at this point.
    Really hoping to see order processing improvements, or at least some transparency/communication in the very near future.

    I ordered on October 17th, two hours after they opened. Today is now October 25th and I’ve yet to receive any shipping notifications or any change in my order status.

    I was thinking about placing a 2nd order, but all of their cheapest strains are out of stock and the new ones being added are all fairly expensive. Almost all of the accessories are also sold out (you’d think they’d at least have enough ACCESSORIES, but I guess they can’t even manage that properly).

    This is probably the worst online shopping experience I’ve ever had. I don’t often leave reviews, but this place definitely deserved one; for all the wrong reasons, of course.

    After waiting two weeks for my package, I received the wrong package. Someone else’s order with their full name and address was inside a box with my name and address on the outside! The product was theirs and is less than half the value of what I bought. Calling OCS left me on hold for two hours the first day and one the second. They took my information and told me they would call me back very soon. That was yesterday morning and I still haven’t received a call. Could not have been more of a disaster!

That was an out right lied as if you went to my order page it still said they were putting my order together, no Canada Post tracking number was associated with my order and I never received an email telling me it is ready to ship.     Ordered almost a week ago. No communication at all from OCS about the status of the order. I was charged but haven’t received an email about shipping yet. I realize there are issues to be resolved at the start of such a big change but they delayed the actual date by almost 2 years and still weren’t prepared, so it’s clear they were never going to be ready.
    For now find a safe local dispensary, online MOM or a friendly face or stranger.

    My stuff took a while at first. Now it arrives within a few days. Unfortunately I just found out Redecan”s facility is contaminated with bugs and mould. Even worse, I already went through 3.5g of White Shark, White Widow and some of the Wappa before seeing little black bug carcasses. I tossed the rest away.
    Redecan states on their website that they release ladybugs to prey on any insects and the black specs are harmless. They say it’s an organic approach to growing cannabis. Redecan does not say exactly what those little black things are. I’ve looked at them under my 60x loop and they look gross.
    Got nice and buzzed though. I just don’t know whether it was the THC or the BUG. 4 stars for quality as other company brands have no problems and if Redecan cleans it up then ya, a 4.

I don’t understand why the packaging standard for the licensed producers is the classic child proof pill bottle. It is no good for weed.     Yes I’ve reviewed this place before but I am doing this once again because I’ve noted that my last OCS review received a few down votes and I suspect that’s because I chose to defended OCS (up to a point). Let’s get straight to the main problem that was ongoing when I submitted my first review, has OCS fixed their fulfillment and delivery issues? Well yes, they actually have. After my first experience, when I ended up waiting 3 weeks for my order to get fulfilled every order I’ve placed since has been fulfilled and delivered within 1-2 business days. Onto another point that I think was contentious, what about quality? First I should reiterate that OCS really can’t control quality as that is more a matter of the grower/producer. For example when it was reported that Redecan’s version of the BEC strain might have mold issues it was they who issued the recall, but OCS did immediately put up a notice on their site to inform people about the recall while taking it’s listing for the product down. So let’s instead look at what OCS can control. 1) Variety, and 2) communication about an order. Variety/selection has improved somewhat since my first order but deals that are truly competitive with the black market are still scarce. That said, there is still a shortage of legal cannabis and that’s probably why. Communication is still a bit wonky. On a couple of orders I got the expected notices about the purchase and billing, but on a couple of others my order just showed up without warning, so they still have work to do there. To finish this off I’ll say that I do understand that OCS being the only legal source for cannabis is not ideal, but more options will be coming soon but until then OCS getting their act together so do not hesitate to try them *or give them another shot).

    This place is a deliberate scam. There is as little info as possible on the website – under the guise of discretion, but in reality it’s to sell you dog-shit at ridiculous prices. My first order, like so many people here, took over 2 weeks to arrive. I got a tracking number for my order AFTER it arrived. Neither the $16 a gram nor the $12 a gram weed was worth the price OR the wait. I sucked it up and thought maybe I could get into tinctures (I quit smoking cigs and wanted to see if I could go smokeless) thanks to professional products. I ordered some 28 mg/ml THC drops for $90. They were the strongest, most concentrated indica THC oil products on the site. I drank half the bottle by now today and I’m still waiting for it to kick in. Complete and utter scam. I would have been better off taking my ninety dollars and smoking that instead!!!I’m actually wondering if I was sent CBD drops, with a dishonest label.
    I am completely done with this website. If anywhere else was allowed to sell weed, this business would have already gone bankrupt. If you are “out of the loop” and thinking about picking up some weed and don’t know where to start – don’t start here. For the good of consumers everywhere, do not give this company your money.

    Placed my order on the 30th and it just arrived today on the 4th. I think it woulda came a day earlier if the day I placed the order hadn’t been a Friday. It was a bit dry but the quality is still there. I was nervous at first to order from there because there wasn’t any pictures of the actual buds and little information about them… but the prices were pretty much the same as the local dispensary so I didn’t see a down side. I bought 7 different kinds rangeing from 1g to 3.5g. Most of them smelled pretty good but there was 1 or 2 bags that smelled a bit like ditch weed. I haven’t tried them all yet but the few I have tasted pretty good. The taste is a big thing for me so I was happy about that. If the dispensary here is out (and it usually is lol) or if the selection was low then I would buy from here again. I think itz worth mentioning that my local dispensary is very hit and miss quality wise. I’ve ended up with seeds in some of what they’ve sold me and they often only have 1 or 2 strains. None of what I bought from the site had any seeds and so far they seem to be very potent with a very large selection. Overall I’m pretty happy with my purchase. I do think it would be much easier to just get from your local dispensary if it has a good selection or better prices though.

    The Ontario government has totally messed this up. They have had ages to get this straight and all in order before Oct 17. Typical government mismanagement, yet again!!

    I use cannabis medically for severe osteoarthritis. I have maybe 1 week left of my old supply. OTC medicines don’t work and I can’t use opiates. Thank you OCS for putting me in this situation!!

I think they have done a great job of keeping a steady supply with huge variety. I am a medical patient and I can’t always get what I want through my L.P. OCS has been there to supplement when needed. Especially with low THC high CBD products. Variety is great, prices (for the most part) are very good, and the website layout is easy to navigate. Great work, especially considering it has only been 5 months since we went legal with recreational.”

    This is illegal, take down this comment. Ryzee, you talking about going around your doctor’s prescription. You can’t go to an L.P then a recreational distributor. We have weekly and daily limits for a reason. Stop ruining the chance for ACMPR patience and medical license holders.

    Tried to order on Oct 17 but store would not accept my Debit Visa. Getting through to Customer Service was impossible, so had a friend order and get it shipped to me. The 3.5g of Solar Power arrived 3 days later. SP was damn fine, I am not a huge pot smoker but this didn’t make me choke and gave a lasting buzz.

    Tried to order today and it accepted my DV. Maybe it just wasn’t set up first day? Ordered 3.5g of Caberet, can’t find any reviews but it’s worth a shot. Hope it’s not too delayed.

    The first time I ordered from the OCS was on the first day of legalization, it took 2 weeks for my order to get to my door. This was unacceptable, but the weed was very good quality. The second time I ordered, in early January 2019, It took only 2 days for my order to get to my door and again the weed vas very good. The OCS had a rough start but after that rough start, it seems that everything is fine. Another big plus is that I no longer have to get my weed from a sketchy drug dealer.

I placed an order on the 18th, only to find out on the 24th that the charge is no longer showing on my credit card statement. I called on the 23rd to inquire about the status of my order. After spending an hour on hold without getting through, I had sent an e-mail which I have yet to get a response back from. I have no idea why my order was cancelled or what they are going to do to fix the issue because I can’t get through to actually speak with someone. Absolutely disappointed with how my first time shopping experience went with this website.

    Anybody who pays this much for weed are not doing themselves any favours. The selection is really sub pare for what you get, OCS is often out of stock of the products in their desired quantities. As far as the whole packaging situation is concerned, OCS clearly doesn’t keep the planet in mind because the amount of waste their products create is nothing less than disgraceful. Proper recycling and refill program needs to be implemented and actual physical stores need to go up. The bottom line is the vast majority of people right now are not using the “Legal” version of cannabis even when it is available, this is because you can go to stores in the GTA and buy illegal cannabis from physical stores that are somehow operating with the consent of the police yet in places like Ottawa illegal stores get raided much more frequently.

    A long time user for 40 years I’ve smoked everything under the sun. I ordered the 2 strongest THC strains listed, Meridan, and Sunset shortly after midnight on the 17th, around the 12,000th order. Arrived on the 22nd, not bad. First thing noticed is how dry they are. When broken or cut they turn to dust. According to packaging they were packaged in Sept 2018. THC levels for both were listed on the website at 17/18-28%. The packaging that arrived on the Meridian said 18.1%, and the Sunset 19%, both on the lowest end. First, the Meridian: Horrible taste and smoke. Harsh, raunchy and nasty, burning the nose, no freshness, absolutely no sweetness contrary to the website’s description, same goes for the ‘fresh’ (un-burnt) bud smell, just not as dramatic. Sufficiently potent but at what cost to take in? Yuk! Way overpriced by a minimum of 75%. The Sunset was not much different, although perhaps not quite as bad but still sorely lacking in fragrance, freshness et al at the cost of harshness. Nothing ‘hashy’ feeling about these two. More like a house fire than a heady fragrant herbal fire. Needless to say this was a one off experiment with conclusions in spades that bears no need of repetition. I was curious how high the bar was, now I know.

    Products, selection and site all perfectly fine to me. Some complain about not having photos of the buds themselves, but I can really tell much about the bud I’m buying by looking at glamour shots anyway.

    if you put a bad a review directly on one of the companies leafly page it will get taken down, so now you can’t complain anymore. leafly seems to be directly paid under said companies as even if you ask them why your review was taken down they have no real good explanation, they know when dispensaries open they will loose half their customers so they need good reviews i guess. is a shame how the whole legal weed system works. is legal you would think they care more, but the reality is they only care about money, for at least the black market still has and do to the crappy system will always have the majority of the market and after seeing the legal way i have to say i’m happy it will always be like that..

    recieved my order in 3 business days. like they said. I bought 8 strains totaling up to 18 gs.
    I smoke chronically for pain and depression have for years, I have smoked each strain by itself and I am shocked. I had extremely high expectations of the bud coming from the government and they’ve met them.
    the buds are crystallized dry to the bone and so smoothe when smoked its unbelieveable. the strains I bought where all perfect for what I was looking for and treating the needs I have dealing with constant mussel spasm I would recommend to try out several product like I have and find the products that are right for you. but my all around experience is a 10/10

    Buyer Beware, do not buy cannabis seed from Tweed or from Tweed through the Ontario Cannabis Store. They do not guarantee their germination and offer no refunds or more seed if you have a bad batch.
    I am an experienced vegetable and herb farmer and the way the seed industry is supposed to work is that seed is guaranteed and subject to a deal or refund if you accidentally get a bad batch. It’s not abnormal to get a bad batch of seed that does not germinate, which is why there are seed guarantee policies.

    Basically, if you spend the $60 on the seed available on the OCS website you are gambling. I spent a good hour on the phone being thrown back and forth between the two companies. Both had a hard line that there is absolutely nothing they could do to make up for a bad batch of seed.

    One and done! Placed my order on Oct 17 1am, received the order the following week. With how busy they were I can understand the delay but the rest of my experience will be the reason I won’t return. The selection is terrible (most are the same strains with different names given by the company growing it), prices are too high and the quality is very sub par. The Ghost Train Haze from Aurora is without a doubt the worst GTH I’ve ever had in my life. Upon inspection with my microscope, you can clearly see the trichomes were not mature enough to be harvested. The plants were harvested way too early. Aurora clearly doesn’t care about quality control or quite frankly, they have amateurs working for them who don’t know what they’re doing. Also, all 3 strains I ordered were way too dry. The website itself is equivalent to a high school student creating it. Given all these issues with OCS, I don’t plan on using them again for a long time….waste of money. OCS needs to hire more competent people who actually know what they are doing.

    It took 15 days to actually get my order.(ordered on the 18th, finally received on the 1st) The cost is what will likely prevent me from ordering again. They cant possibly think people will be able to order from here on the regular. Its way too expensive. $56.50 for an HQ? Insane. The quality is very good, but I can also get similar quality for considerably less from a dispensary.

    I joined Leafly partly to begin leaving reviews (previously I have posted under Mr. Riggs on Lift, and have reviewed LPs).

    What can I say about OCS? It really should get zero stars.

    What is wrong with OCS? Well, it is suffering from A) being a monopoly, therefore there is zero incentive to improve or actually focus on quality due to being protected by their monopoly, and B) it is staffed by unionized workers, therefore there is zero incentive to actually try and earn their high-pay and produce value (for their pay).

    It is kinda sad that they had this opportunity to succeed and they royally mucked it up from the get-go, and now they are hiding behind Canada Post’s ineptitude (unionized!).

    Here is the kicker… the quality of the product has ZERO to do do with OCS. The quality of the product is tied to the company that is growing the product. The OCS only had to succeed by putting in place a functioning supply chain, and they really screwed their only task up.

    Will this matter, will the complaints reach over the wall of the monopoly and help them look internally at their failure and move towards improvement? I doubt it. If there is no incentive to prove, then why would they? If they are tied to the LCBO, then we (citizens who own the OCS and LCBO) should not expect anything more or better (from either entity).

    So,the OCS has failed at the only thing that they were tasked with doing, and we (the customers and consumers) will pay (literally, in to over-paid union hands) for this, with no repercussions.

    As a left-leaning individual, I hate to say this but I hope that Dough (yes) Ford privatizes both the LCBO and OCS, and destroys everything that the monopoly has created (laziness, ineptitude, lack of quality in the supply chain).

    If you could give zero stars, OCS would have been given zero stars.

    BTW – I have placed 3 order with OCS, 2 on the first day, 1 on the second day. It is now Oct 28, 2018 and I have not received anything. No confirmation, nothing.

    OCS = Sad.

    I have used the OCS about 10 times since the site went live. Other than my first order (that took a month), the rest have arrived in 3 days or less, most of the time the next day. I think they have done a great job of keeping a steady supply with huge variety. I am a medical patient and I can’t always get what I want through my L.P. OCS has been there to supplement when needed. Especially with low THC high CBD products. Variety is great, prices (for the most part) are very good, and the website layout is easy to navigate. Great work, especially considering it has only been 5 months since we went legal with recreational.

    Huge letdown.

    It took 7 days to get here, and was nowhere close to the quality that most are used to. Way overpriced, and wayyyy to dry. To top it off they’re using it to prop up Canada Post with absolutely ludicrous shipping fees. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life.

    Oct. 17, 2018 Such a historic day for Canada. It was exciting to see the OCS go live, ending pot prohibition in Canada.

    I made a few purchases, the site worked well and the selection on opening was good but not great, but expected to ramp up with addition of much more product.

    There were 40 strains when it opened and strains were still being added.

    HISTORIC DAY!!! LOVE YOU CANADA!!!

    Can’t review my product or the company on their website, so here I am. First off, took 11 days to get my order. But that’s because of the postal strike. I got 3.5g of Sunday Special from Riff, was 37.50 after shipping. Can’t find anything about this strain, it doesn’t exist on the leafly. Its packaging is way over done, I’d rather see less fancy packaging and pass savings off the the customer. The weed its self, is fluffy, dry, very leafy and stemmy. Kind of a lemon hint, but not much. I wouldn’t buy this weed for 20$, I don’t recommend this product. Very disappointed all in all. Thank you. Have a great day

    I ordered 20 grams at 12:06 am Oct. 17. They called at 2:13 pm the same day to tell me it was cancelled because of a card issue. No problem, I filled in the billing address wrong. Ordered 3 minutes later, with the right address. the strain I had ordered was sold out, so I picked a new one to replace it. My order total was $190. They took the money, as I checked my transactions. I have recieved no further information. Two of my roommates and my neighbor ordered an oz each from an MOM and all of them recieved it 3 days later, $70 cheaper and with more weed. Still no shipping info, nothing. If they don’t get their shit together, I will never buy legal weed again.
