Solevo Wellnessa,,C/ [soh-lee-voh] is a medical marijuana dispensary based in Pittsburgh, PA, dedicated to providing medical marijuana relief solutions for Pennsylvanians certified with serious medical conditions such as intractable pain including arthritis, and other serious medical conditions including glaucoma, cancer, autism, Parkinson’s disease, MS, IBD, PTSD, and HIV/AIDS. Founded by leading physicians, pharmacists, and medical professionals, Solevo offers personal, professional care, and quality medical marijuana products.

We opened our first location at 5600 Forward Avenue in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh on 2/15/18. As of 11/20/18 we also operate a second dispensary, which is located in Zelienople.     Was there on opening day and the place was packed. The PA MMJ computer database was down so the staff had to do everything by hand. The staff…is beyond awesome and knowledgeable! They really make you feel like it’s YOUR dispensary. They only have one growers providing product at the moment (more in the coming weeks) so the prices are rather high and the inventory is rather low. But the quality of the product…wow! I consider myself to be an experienced smoker and this product knocked me on my ass with only a puff or two. Once you try it and realize how little you need you realize that the prices aren’t all that unreasonable.

    The facility is well payed out, super secure and super clean. Ample parking spots (except for opening day) and a rather convenient location.

    There will be a dispensary opening up closer to my house but I’ll continue to visit Solevo as their staff is awesome!

    Visited 3 times since they opened the staff is friendly and helpful, the product selection varies so much it’s hard to stick to a certain strain or capsule for that matter but that is not the dispensaries fault it’s the low number of processors. Prices are a little higher than I expect considering what other states comparisons are. Great place nice people good products when they are fully stocked.

    They have been closed the past few days due to low inventory, however they didn’t inform anyone. They have a tiny sign on the front door, but if you drove 20 min, and your in alot of pain, it’s a drag that they didn’t post this online, or send out a digital announcement so that we didn’t drive all the way. Even their voicemail doesn’t say that they would be closed for several days. This is very unprofessional in my opinion.

    Been going to Solevo for a few months now and have NEVER had a bad experience. They just keep evolving as best as they can and doing an amazing job in such a short period of time. If you live in the Pittsburgh area and have your medical marijuana card, do yourself a favor and visit Solevo Wellness!

    Service and q&a are much more comprehensive. Dispensary attendant’s are allowed to handle the product in a way that you get a sense of the smell and quality before you buy using the yellow scent-seal on the bottom of the bottle. (they cant open it or breakthe seal for you). CY+ does not allow you to see or smell before you buy, nor do they post a menu online. Both; however have been satisfactory. Keep in mind not all growers have supply yet, which is why you need to plan ahead. Solevo DOES post their supply and menu online, if you do your homework before just driving 20m without checking, you will not waste time and pain.

    I’ve been going to Solevo pretty much since day one. THE GOOD: The ppl at the front desk and the security guards are always very pleasant…as are most of the budtenders. Although, there are a couple I don’t care for. Erin is awesome though! I really enjoy being waited on by her but I usually do fast track and I don’t get her very often. I also like that I can bring guests into the waiting area with me instead of making them wait in the car. I live in the south hills so I usually make it a point to stop in at solevo when I’m in the area already anyway which means I sometimes have my husband or someone in the car with me. So, it’s nice that they can wait inside. They also have a 30 day return policy in comparison to most which have a 24 hour return policy…but I’ll address their return policy further in aEURoethe badaEUR.

    THE BAD: Solevo has the smallest selection of any of the dispensaries I’ve visited. Also, the prices usually aren’t that great. Although sometimes they have an item or 2 I like on sale so I’ll stop in. BUT…god forbid you get a defective item!!! They treat you like dirt if you try to return anything! I’ve received several bad cartridges that either didn’t work or that leaked back when solevo first opened. I returned a couple of them but eventually quit bothering because they’d make me feel guilty…as if I was doing something to cause them to leak. Meanwhile EVERYONE ELSE was having the same problem! Eventually they redesigned them and usually the cartridges are all pretty good now…occasionally though you still get a bad one. I purchased a vape/battery combo a couple months back and the threads on either the cartridge or the battery were messed up because the cart wouldn’t attach to the battery. Then last week, I bought a bunch of stuff during the anniversary sale and the one disposable pen didn’t work and the gio battery/cart I purchased was messed up and I couldn’t get the pod to detach from the cartridge. I drove all the way back to solevo the next day to exchange the items and I was basically treated like I was trying to get one over on them by Rocco the manager. I was asked to hit the pen to prove it wasn’t working then I kinda felt like he was implying that I must have smoked it all…but I have a stockpile of products and I don’t need to cheat solevo out of an $18 sale item! Believe me…if I was gonna smoke up a product and try to get a refund, it wouldn’t be an item that cost $18! I drove an hour to solevo to return it…then another hour back home. My time and gas is worth a lot more than $18!

    Needless to say, I’m not happy with how I was made to feel…not just this time but every time I’ve had an issue. I’ve always gone in with a smile DESPITE having to drive all the way to return items that SHOULDNT HAVE BEEN DEFECTIVE IN THE FIRST PLACE…but I understand that these things happen especially in the beginning when the growers were still working out the kinks. SO THE LEAST SOLEVO CAN DO IS TO BE UNDERSTANDING OF MY SITUATION IN RETURN! A simple aEURoehey im really sorry…let’s see what we can do to fix thisaEUR would go a LONG way! Instead…I always got a sigh, an eye roll and a head shake! In the beginning, solevo was the only dispensary in town so I HAD to put up with that treatment. BUT NOW THAT I HAVE OPTIONS? No thanks…I’ll only go to solevo if and when I absolutely have to…

    I give Solevo respect for being the first dispensary to open in Pittsburgh, but they have a severe lack of products compared to every other dispensary in Pittsburgh. they closed on New year’s Eve and as a result patients had to go to other dispensaries that we’re open. and the give only 5% veterans discount . until they get much better on these issues, I have a hard time recommending this dispensary to anyone.

    I have been to this location about 4-5 times and I can say everyone is always very friendly and welcoming from the security guards to reception to the Budtenders. Each Budtender has a bit of knowledge to share &! I am like a sponge. Which is helpful. I would definitely recommend Solevo-Squirrel Hill.

    I love the staff and how friendly they are. Solevo has a large, comfortable waiting room and with fast track you’re not waiting that long. There also is plenty of parking. I feel that Solevo is a very professionally run business and you should check them out!

    Brand new location, just opened 02/15/2018.
    The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, very patient with the aEURoenewbieaEUR users. I saw many tutorials being given on how to correctly use products. Inventory is going to fly off the shelves, so make sure to check out their website for an accurate menu on any given day.
    Best first time experience at a new dispensary! (Seasoned user here, everything was super high quality!)

    First class. Reliable. Professional, consistent and compassionate.

    I’ve been coming here since day 1. Literally. After about 75 visits I can say I have never had a problem whatsoever. This place is run so well that they anticipate issues as best as possible.

    I’ve been to almost every dispensary in the western PA area and Solevo is top notch. You know their names and they know yours. Non judgmental and easy going.

    The beginnings of the program were crazy everywhere and the states terrible MMJ freeway is not helping – but wait times and issues have almost disappeared. (Again can’t blame them for the states ineptitude)

    Solevo is a gem in a mixture of mediocre care. The MMJ market in PA is constantly evolving but this staff is on their game. They are educated, pleasant and will get you in and out as quickly as YOU like. If you need to talk about your care, they will take the time. Since day 1, Solevo has been pushing themselves to be better and it shows. Everyone at the location in on the same page and you’ll never hear: I don’t know. They take care of the details.

    I never berate the aEURoecompetitionaEUR but again, Solevo has the mission since day 1 that they are here to help us, the patient – as a health care service. They are doing a phenomenal job and strongly encourage you to give them a visit. Added, parking is never an issue, super easy to get to from any highway and the waiting room is big. They supply water 🙂

    Easily accessible, a reasonable amount of parking. The staff that I interacted with have been great and everyone is still smiling after a crazy first week of business. Prices were cheaper than other dispensaries I have visited, but still a little high. I expect that will change over time.

    The location is optimal. However the receptionist and staff are incredibly rude. The website was down for me to make an appointment. When I called the receptionist explained she could not make an appointment because she has to deal with people in Person. I have been making the drive from Greensburg to Butler. You dont need an appointment and the staff is incredibly friendly. The trip to CY+ im Butler is a much better experience. I will never reccomend Solevo to anyone.

    Beautiful dispensary with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Lots of parking right on site. It’s conveniently located just off I-376 and is in Squirrel Hill, a nice neighborhood with great restaurants and shops.

    It just opened so it’s been super crowded and their stock is low, but that’s understandable for the first few days.

    I visited here opening week and was pleasantly surprised. Even with all the 1st week craziness and non-stop craziness I was able to get in, fill out the paperwork, see a doctor, browse the different forms of meds, and make some selections.
    Prices are high compared to the Colorado, but not anything I wouldn’t expect at first and with an expanding makrket it should get less expensive.
    Everyone was very helpful and friendly.
    I purchase a couple .5g cartridges for my O.pen battteries and the meds seem to be top notch and vape quite easily. Both carts were from the Cresco brand.

    Staff is extremely friendly & knowledgeable. Zach was the patient coordinator I had today & he knew exactly what I needed!!

    Prices here are much better than the other medical dispensaries around Pittsburgh right now (but still too high).

    Though there was not much of a selection today, but I’m sure this isn’t gonna be an issue once all the PA growers get their products moving.

    Definitely will be back.

    Great staff. I can be a pain in the butt with questions. Their Facebook response time is close to immediate, and they are extremely kind.

    They took me as a walk-in, despite having an appointment next week. I was in and out within 2 hours. Honestly, not bad considering the place was packed.

    The pharmacist was very professional, straightforward, gave great suggestions.

    The woman, Erin, in the dispensary was awesome. She was very knowledgeable and professional, but also very funny.

    The problems I have are with the current law and not Solevo. That would be there just aren’t enough options available. And what is available is extremely expensive.

    The law only permits the most expensive treatments. For example, I purchased two 500mg cartridges, 1 20ct. bottle of 2.5mg pills (which I have to take at least 4 a day), and a bottle of tincture and it cost me just under $195.

    That amount of money could purchase close to an oz. of decent marijuana, and would last longer, as well.

    But this has nothing to do with Solevo. It is what it is for the time being. And Solevo will be my go-to location.

    I was a walk-in on inaugural day three, intent on having a look, feeling the vibe, then returning a week later for my scheduled appointment. There were probably 20 customer patients populating the spacious and nicely done waiting area, a security person at the door, and a visible administrative staff of 6-8. All were enthusiastic and helpful, except for the stoic security guard. I was given a three page clipboard to fill out, they checked ID and MMJ card, then I waited for a pharmacist to call me in to discuss my condition, currently prescribed pharmaceuticals, and then Solevo product offerings. Back to the waiting room for a short wait, then called into the secure pharmacy counters staffed by five or so customer service reps. The menu was more extensive than I had anticipated. Wish I could see it on line to further research on Leafly before visiting the dispensary. Felt a lityle on the spot and at their inventory mercy. Cresco Yeltrah seems to be their primary grower/processor. Nice packaging. Also would like to see some instruction on administering medicine using the cartridge and battery. Had to stop at a vape shop and utube for help. Even as a walk-in with all of those customers on day three, I was in and out of MY inaugural dispensary experience in less than an hour. Banner day in so many ways. I have been to dispensaries in other states and the learning curve of this industry is impressive. Still pinching myself that I am no longer required to break the law to access such a useful medicine to me. Pennsylvania patientsaEUR”we have a responsibility to protect this industry, possibly expand it. Don’t abuse the right we have finally been granted by driving impaired and/or unlawfully distributing this medicine that many have taken great financial risk to provide. Soapbox over.

    Not only were they all very knowledgeable and professional, but they were kind. After years of battling with many illnesses and the wrongful prohibition on Cannabis, I walked into this place feeling excited and grateful. Going back again this weekend and forever!

    Once again the Squirrel Hill location is a joke and is what you should look for in how to NOT operate a dispensary.
    Fast track is a joke written on paper, someone from the back has to come get it. They can’t even keep patients files in order, and not talking about me getting skipped over because I had to see the doctor, I have continuously been skipped over. Once due to being skipped over, they ran out of what I had driven 80 miles for.

    Their other location gets 5 stars all the way. Cranberry location > Squirrel Hill

    I had my first appointment at this Solevo in Squirrel Hill,Pa last week. This was my first time at a dispensary and I must say everyone was super nice and friendly. Very Knowledgeable and helpful. I was very nervous and overwhelmed even after all the research I had done still felt lost and not sure of what I wanted to try and what I thought would help me. Pharmacist Kristina was very nice and helpful and Annie helped me pick out a lil bit of everything that I wanted to try. Overall I would definitely recommend Solevo!
