3. When I walked in, there was no uncomfortable period, where I wait for someone to help me. As soon as I came in, they promptly walked in to the reception area, and let me in to the shop. They had a great selection of flower, extracts and edibles. I can’t forget to mention the price, either. Everything I checked out was fairly, if not low-priced, even though it all looked great. I’m happy, and I’m going back.

30. Cute place. But very first dispensary experience where I wasn’t greeted and had to ring a bell (twice, mind you) to be assisted and checked in. From there, they had what I needed and I am overall satisfied with the product. I would suggest someone at the front counter at all times, first impressions are everything.

36. Went in looking for a new dispensary here in Salem since I moved. Thought I’d try these clowns because their Leafly menu had the best value and strains on pre-rolls.

    I should have known a dispensary that has on it’s sign “Voted best cannabis in Oregon” was not legit. Voted by who? The OLCC? lol

    Went in, had Leafly up.on my phone so I knew what to ask for, the budtender hits me with “uh… We haven’t updated Leafly in months”. So wasted my time there….

    I bought 4 pre-rolls, 3 x 1/2 gram, and 1 x a full gram. Paid an even $20.

    Left, put my purchase in my trunk and went on with my day. Later after getting home I open my purchase to inspect the pre-rolls, the full gram pre-roll tube was empty. Smelled like weed has never even been in it.

    I called the next morning, I’ve never had anything like this happen from a dispensary. Spoke to the manager Jake, explained what happened to him. He comes checked to see if their was a loose pre-roll. Came back a minute later and he said nope, and nothing he can do unless I had the receipt, which I was not offered. Hell I wasn’t even given a bag.

    Avoid!!

37. Very friendly and knowledgable staff, they’ve made some wonderful recommendations. They have great strains, I’ve found some new favorites and made them a regular in my dispensary rotation.

38. I went in for the first time last week. It was great. The atmosphere was amazing, very large and great selection. They have specials all week long and one of my favorite strains, Green Crack! I will definitely be a regular customer here.

85. I have not been to this one, just the one off Market. At first when they had just opened it was a great place to go. Now not so much, $55 1/8 is ridiculous and no good deals hardly. Different people too, and the boss could use some tips on customer service. Since OG Collective expanded and has a daily special it’s the best place in town now. I won’t go back, but I will recommend the OG Collective gang. It’s to bad too.

102. It was my first time in, and haven’t felt as comfortable and at home like I did at Homegrown Oregon. From the moment I walked in the door I knew I had made a great choice. The Gal upfront who I forgot to get a name from, is the first one who started small talk while she was entering my info into the system, while making those minutes feel like seconds. In the back I was helped by Elle, who showed amazing customer service. Not only did she nail what I was looking for but also took the time to show me all she recommended. Definitely returning. I’ll vouch for Homegrown Oregon anytime.

103. I love the friendly staff here. They always remember me and what I like. The shop is very big and open, I never feel claustrophobic and it feels more private. Never any personal questions or other patrons bothering me, which seems to happen to me everywhere else. It has become my regular spot for this reason! I’m tired of a lot of shops only being satisfing maybe 1 out of 4 visits. That’s why I keep going back to the liberty location there bud is never disappointing. 123. Update on my last review: I still love the decor and the quality of the products but I have had issues since. As of 5/20/2017 they have raised their prices. Before I was able to get top shelf flower for $55-60 a quarter now it is $77 a quarter (medical prices). This hits hard when you are disabled and on a fixed income. The other issue I have had is prepackaged product being light (usually by about .3 or .4), that they never weight the product in your sight, and that sometimes there are seeds or excess stems. This is causing me to reconsider having Homegrown as my main store.

131. First time in to this shop based off a recommendation from my friend. I’ve been to many of the dispensaries in town and feel they pretty much fall into one of two categories: either they seem really shady or its the complete opposite and you can tell the owners are running an actual profitable business. Without a doubt Homegrown falls into the latter category. Walking in the front door I could tell it was going to be a good visit. It wasn’t completely dark and unwelcoming; it had windows and plenty of light. I was immediately greeted by Elle (I think that was her name- she is really cute and has a big smile with dope hair) and after I was quickly checked in, she led me back to the promised land and I was amazed. There is so much to chose from. Inventory and variety are something Homegrown has going for it. I figured Elle was going to hand me off, but she stayed with me for the whole transaction, which was a really good way to do it, imo. She was incredibly knowledgeable and showed me some concentrates that I had never heard of before. You could tell she not only knew the details of what she was talking about, but she also has a strong sense of customer service and that is something that will make me a repeat customer. I rarely smoke flower, but on occasion I like to indulge. So when I let Elle know this, she pulled me some Evergreen Glue and let me tell you I was so not disappointed in what she recommended. I’ve got a high tolerance and this bud put me in check. This may very well be my new place to shop, I can’t think of any reason to go somewhere else. Oh and they have daily deals…and I even got a 10% discount for being a first time customer! A 10% discount I didn’t even ask for…It was just given to me.
     Btw- if your names not really Elle I apologize. You see I’ve been watching Stranger Things and the girl is named El and that’s kinda how I think I remember your name. Either way, whoever helped me around 1:30 or so yesterday was super dope and is a valuable employee!!

134. Been a medical patient for a number of years. I went in to buy a few grams of a few different strains. EVERYTHING is prepackaged! Not even a scale to be seen! I asked the budtender to weigh it out and she was going to a different room!? I went ahead and bought 4 grams of 3 different strains and guess what! ALL 4 PREPACKAGED GRAMS WERE, on average, 2 POINTS LIGHT! THAT’S DAMN NEAR A GRAM SHORT BETWEEN 4 GRAMS! This is why I ask to have it weighed in front of me. Won’t be back. Won’t send anyone in. Don’t really have much good to say about this place. The budtender seemed irritated that I didn’t want to get ripped off. Now I know why. THEY RIPPED ME OFF! Absolutely will not support a business that doesn’t care about the patient.

139. I’ve been to a few different dispensaries in my area and can honestly say this one is my absolute favorite they always have great staff with fantastic attitudes and are always helpful there deals and prices are great

140. Definitely my favorite dispensary in Salem! Staff is knowledgeable, friendly, accessible, and very professional. They will answer any questions you have, and they really prioritize finding the right strain for each person’s situation. I am writing from a recreational standpoint, but they take the time to listen to their medical patients’ needs and match them thoughtfully with the right product/s.

     Selection is excellent! Always a solid roster of Indicas, Sativas, and Hybrids available in a range of potencies. Every time I visit the store there is cool new merch, like hoodies, hats, paraphernalia, and even local art on the walls, and they have a varied selection of concentrates, terpenes, edibles, and miscellaneous items like dab tools, joint papers, and screens. Branded merchandise is great in quality and variety.

     Their pricing is also ultra-reasonable, and their daily specials and loyalty reward program make them even more affordable. Their new system for credit and debit payments is extremely convenient.

     This is the place I bring my out of town friends when they visit!

148. I come in to homegrown at least once a week if I can! I came in today Friday for $10 gram!! the best day ever. got a few items and left with a 1 gram of sugar cookies that I have yet to try. The amount looked a little small to me so I weighed it on a proper scale this evening right after opening and it was 0.6….. I so love homegrown and rave about them all the time. This is fairly upsetting. I give them a low quality rating for that. I expect to get what I pay for.

149. Great place! The girl Laura who works there is awesome, very knowledgeable and provided great customer service. I was having issues with my Cartridge and I couldn’t figure out wth was wrong with it so I finally gave up and took it in, the gal Laura helped me out and we figured it was (operator error) hahaha. If you haven’t stopped by here check it out, it’s a must if you want great product and customer service.

156. In a lapse I will visit a dispensary. I LOVE this new female ran shop, I recently discovered in Keizer. Owner Suanne helped me my first visit and I immediately wrote a Thank you note, welcoming them to the neighborhood! All the staff from reception to sales are knowledgeable, willing to recommend personal suggestions and honest opinions! My favorite sales person is Alicia, who ALWAYS matches my mood to the perfect strain! Once due to my budget she refused a tip and excitedly sold me her pick…which was Awesome! She knows her product and is is better than friendly! She is relatable, clever, cares that the client is happy and her witty, honest, spot on advice makes for a fun visit. The one time I expressed disappointment to owner Suanne, she offered a discount on suggested strain, that I was very happy with! (My mistake, I sent the BF)
     The one bummer is that their product is prepackaged. (And it is nice to have a dispenser weigh hand picked nugs.)
     HOWEVER & REGARDLESS I will continue to place my consumer vote with this female owned and opperated dispensary, alone.
     Homegrown Oregon surpasses all other Salem, Keizer dispensaries.

     This is my new favorite dispensary. Good service, knowledgable bud tenders and a variety of strains and price points. The happy hour specials and $10 grams on all strains on Friday are the main reason to keep coming back. Top shelf quality strains at $10 a gram all day.

165. Since weed became legal in Oregon I’ve been visiting all the shops, this one was the very first I came across that sold me the highest quality I had in forever. I wish I lived closer I’d go more often but I still go out of my way sometimes and drive the extra 30 min just for some of the higher quality stuff. I’m a medical patient for muscular dystrophy but there are days you need an escape… especially during the holidays. John recommended the Bubble Hash and how to use it (I’m a virgin to the Hash). This was exactly what I needed. There is a reason I keep going back, they’ve always had exactly what I needed. Very highly recommend this dispensary.

197. I found this place about a year ago after I had moved to Keizer. I went too many stores with “deals” on their signs our by recommendations here, but the flower was always a little disappointing. Typically dry, very little to choose from, and just plain low quality. Then I found you’d rare gem. Not only are the people great, Laura, Jazzy, Cameron etc. But they always have multiple strains of both sativa and indica – almost all over 20% and the quality is out of sight!!! I am moving out of state and the people here and the quality bud will be missed deeply!!!

201. I’ve never had a problem with their weed or oil, but I bought a clone from them which turned out to be infested with spider mites and they refused to do anything. The guy sounded like he didn’t even believe me as if I don’t know what spider mites are and know that my test was 100% clean prior to the addition of their clone. It was a gelato 33 and I got it the day they got the clones in so it had to have come infested from the farm (Happy Trails in applegate), but the guy Chris sounded like I was crazy for saying it could have came infested. Not long later a super helpful friendly sounding guy called me back. Talked me thru the whole process, was very understanding of the difficulty selecting dabs sight unseen. 242. Been a semi-regular at Homegrown Oregon for a few months now, and I can easily say I haven’t been this consistently satisfied with any of the dozen or so dispensaries I’ve visited in Salem.

     Not to discredit other dispensaries, there’s definitely some top notch places around that deserve the credit they get, but I honestly believe Homegrown is the single best dispensary in Salem. Flower is always top shelf, budtenders are incredibly pleasant to speak with and very knowledgeable, and the woody, relaxed and spacious atmosphere inside accents the whole experience like icing on a cake.

     And $10 a gram Fridays for the quality flower they keep in stock? Nothing beats top shelf quality with that price.

The lemon kush is one of my favorite strains from there and I love all their hoodies and hats. I got the red hoodie and its super soft and comfy and it fits perfectly!
