Great dispensary! Everyone is incredibly helpful, the place itself is super clean and I love the menu’s and reading material in their waiting room.
They have a great selection compared to some other NJ dispensaries and I would definitely take the hour and fifteen minute drive to treat myself to their strains and clean facility.

well worth the drive from gloucester county. I couldn’t be happier with my experience. I made an appointment online without a single issue, was given a reminder email 4 days before to remind me. they were very professional and made my first visit a pleasant experience. I had a 1 on 1 appointment which was worth the wait. the guy I spoke with about my symptoms and condition was very receptive and helpful in explaining the different strains available, their effects were written on the menu card but I still couldn’t believe how accurate they are. so far so good, 2nd trip is coming up and I will be heading back to doctor to renew after. I’m so glad to have relief for some of the issues that have been plaguing me. The Lemon G, Orange Bud and the Cannatonic strains all were spot on in description of its effects and have been working well so far. highly recommended & pun intended ;]
I had to make an appointment 3 weeks prior for a first time consultation even though I have been to two other dispensaries in NJ. I drove an hour and a half to Breakwater to be treated like a total asshole because I had my 2 year old daughter with me. They immediately asked me to leave and told me I could not have my child there. It did not say anything on their website about not being able to have your child with you. You can take your kid to the liquor store I’ve witnessed parents drinking at bars with a baby, but I was turned away because I had my child with me to pick up a valid prescription drug. The people at the front desk were incredibly rude and I have never been treated so poorly in my life.
The BreakWater Medical Dispensary in Cranbury NJ is a very unprofessional operation . Tuesday August 28th I tried to make a appointment online with no luck. Due to the faulty system. I made a phone call a few times though out that day to make one over the phone. No one answered, I left messages. The next day was the same thing I called and no one answered so then I decided to take time out of my day on Thursday August 30th to drive to the location to see anything was available. As soon as I parked my Jeep I received a phone call from the location and I was told there was no appointments available and to try to make a appointment online. I went online and was finally able to make one for Thursday September 6th at 11am. I arrived at the location when they opened to find out my appointment was never created and to check for a confirmation that I have not received. I told the clerk the whole situation who seemed to be apathetic to me and the whole situation. She not really seem to care to help but just to make a other Appointment for the following week. September 13th 11am. I did ask for a manager and she brushed it off and made the appointment from there and waited to see if anyone didn’t show up for the current booking for 11am. Everyone showed up and I asked for a manager again after having to ask a second time she stated the manger would tell me the same thing where then I responded to tell her I must speak to a manager. The manager had the same apathic attitude towards me and didn’t even seem to care. He didn’t even take any notes of the situation and try to see what was wrong with their system. With their negligence I have wasted time and money. The worst part is I need this treatment I am going through severe chronic pain that is effecting my everyday life. I am very upset and disappointed on the way they handle everything. I have emailed and called on Thursday the 6th and today Tuesday the 11th with no response. I was very lucky that a other dispensary a hour away was able to help me without a first appointment.

Great people, terrific location, knowledgeable staff. Strains are old school and on the weak side. All they need to do is upgrade the quality of their medicine and I would be back. Till then I’ve tried everything they have nothing satisfies me. New jersey definitely has a long way to go. I have been to four of the five dispensaries in New Jersey and only one is able to provide what I need.
I had an excellent 1st time experience at Breakwater! I felt very comfortable from the second I arrived! Everyone that I had the pleasure of meeting were very nice and knew there stuff! They made me feel very comfortable to ask any questions! The prices are good and the buds are amazing! I can’t wait to go back! I highly recommend them!
Super clean with helpful and welcoming staff. Trying out the selections presently. Easily worth the 20 min drive. I will be back! Cash only at the moment but they said CC processing will be back soon. Good prices like the fact the sell frosty trimmings and shake for making butter/oil.
Breakwater is the 4th dispensary I have used. Hands down the Best… The product is cured and packaged properly. No Musty Smell to the meds. No Plastic bag unless you buy shake or pre-rolled . Everything comes in a glass jar! The terpenes really stand out. They only have a around 8 strains but they have something that works for my medical needs. I Love this place!!!!!!!!!
I wish I could tell all the staff how well they are doing. That is one of my down falls, and anxieties, but hopefully they read this and just know: Thank you so much for saving me. Truly not sure where I would be today.

Breakwatwr was the 1st dispensary I visited. The place is amazing, very clean and safe, the staff are always very helpful. they stock locally blown gas even! My only complaint is I agree that the marijuana could be stronger,though the quality is always fresh and flavorful,even their shake. the prices are amazing and they offer various discounts for peoples different situations. Im hoping the new strains they roll out are more potent. My favorite strains from breakwatwr are blueberry31,durban poison and bubblegum05. Do yourself the favor of visiting this dispensary Im sure the feel of this place will be a winning aspect, as the dispensaries vary in feel. Breakwater feels fun and kind of trendy,atleast to me.
The buds are delicious, nice touch on putting all the flower in glass jars, all other dispensaries put the flower in plastic which creates a static charge that dries out the flower faster! I tried the mimosa, kush IV & grape ape!
The cartridge was spot on as well, tried the Bruce banner and kush VIII.
My personal taste I prefer the flower and I will surely recommend your fine establishement to all. I wish I tried you guys earlier. I’m looking forward to tasting all.your strains and future strains (Durban Poison, flan, biscotti, NY Haze….please)
Breakwater is, now I say this without being to the ones down south Jersey, but in terms of Breakwater, Garden State, Montclair thing, Breakwatever is a gleaming example of how best medicinal marijuana should be dispensed and talked about in general. They are the cheapest, and have the best bud (my me and my symptoms). I was very surprised that some gave it such a scathing review. Their AK-47 shake is better than the premium buds. It’s ridiculous. And they work with you to help you get the most out of your financial parameters.
Top NJ Dispensary. Worth the ride, great staff & management. Prime example of how medication should be grown, flushed, cured, packaged and dispensed too the public. Anyone tells you different is a amateur.
Everything about this dispensary is pretty awesome. You can tell that there is a lot of love and care that go into growing this medicine.My only complaint is that the THCa levels are lower at this dispensary than the others. Once they get these levels up this dispensary will be top’s. I do have to comment that the entire staff is excellent and look professional and a super clean environment.
Rad was the first person I met on my very new journey of Marijuana. He was helpful and friendly. He introduced me to Grape Ape, which is my favorite for bedtime, thus far. They are a bit pricey. Also, if receipts are important to you, make sure you ask for one and check that they gave it to you. They forgot to give me mine.
I’ve tried multiple NJ dispensaries and no where else comes close to the quality and selection of top shelf cannabis. I consistently drive an hour plus (past 3 closer ATCs) to Breakwater.

Everything seems to be done with a lot of care. The meds are well grown, manicured, dried, and cured. I am not sure I’ve experienced this level of freshness before, it really comes through in both flavor and smell. Nice and varied strain profiles, they have excellent taste it what they’ve chosen to grow. All around great experience, I appreciate all the hard work they’ve clearly put it.
This is a very friendly, clean and professional A.T.C. Additionally it is very centrally located in New Jersey right off the NJ Turnpike one exit below New Brunswick. It was the first dispensary that I went to after recieving my Medical MJ approval and card; the folks at Break Water really walked me through the process, educated me and made me feel comfortable. I have visited other ATC’s, however have returned to Break Water primarily due to the great value of their medical products for the quality received.
There are some things I would suggest as ‘growth areas’ for Break Water; however, I didn’t take away a star because in casual conversation with the folks that work there I was told that they were already working on these items.
The first is that their is a limited selection, I think right now they only offer 5 strains. However, on the positive side I have not run into issues with product availability. Additionally I was informed at my last visit that they are currently cultivating 5 new strains that should be ready for sale sometime in the late summer of 2016.
The second ‘growth’ area IMHO would be in the potency of the Medication. Please don’t get me wrong, the medicine works well, it has helped me tremendously, it is clean, no stems or seeds and just feels and smells great. However, sometimes it feels like it could just use a little more, gusto, oumff whatever you want to call it. I would tack this up to fact that as the newest dispensary in the state they are still fine tuning and adjusting their cultivation techniques. I have no doubt that with time an the addition of a few more strains the variety and potency will improve.
I would heartedly recommend Break Water A.T.C. to all. They have a great staff – very helpful and great medicine that is continually getting better. Finally, you can not beat the value for the medicine purchased at Break Water. All in all two big thumbs up!! dY~ZdY’dY’dY~Z
I actually like the product from this dispensary better than CSATC, it’s main competitor. I think that this place offers better strains for medical patients who need pain and nausea relief than CSATC. The strains at Breakwater may have a lower THC percentage than that of other dispensaries, but the overall quality is much better. The CBD strain Cannatonic was great for pain management and I highly suggest it. The staff at this place are friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that they do not have Co2 Oil. The best strain from here is Grape Ape. Would recommend.
Place nice and clean with super friendly staff. The 10% off for first time
patients is nice too. My biggest issue is the fact they charge a much higher price for their “premium” hand trimmed top of the plant buds, but when I got home and opened the sealed jars the buds looked exactly the same as the popcorn buds of other strains I picked up for a way cheaper price. The guy I dealt with totally pushed me towards the premium and made it sound like it would be a huge difference. If your gonna charge a 40% markup for buds you label as premium they better be premium!!! Totally felt ripped off when it should have been super exciting opening my legal medicine for the first time. Other than that there wasn’t anything special about the bud other than the new SAGE 20 strain they have which is their highest tester at 23% the rest struggle to get above 15%. Jersey in general is just way to high priced and this is the cheapest of the bunch.
I can’t believe how horrible the quality of the aEURoeMedical MarijuanaaEUR is. The pot you can buy on the street is generally much better quality and is less than half the price of this garbage. The Lemon G tastes so bad it is un-smokable and all sales are final. I will never waste my money on NJ State ragweed again. $500+ per ounce for dirt weed is unacceptable.
The staff is extremely nice and great to work with. It’s not their fault the state marijuana program is managed by dimwits and the growers obviously couldn’t successfully grow crabgrass. The MMP in NJ is the joke of the industry. Dispensaries in CA and AZ laugh at the quality and non-selection in NJ and CA pays about $225 per ounce for the best marijuana you’ve ever seen, $300 less than NJ dirt weed. It’s all about the money.

Really small actual buying space and their concentrates are ridiculously priced so don’t buy their cartridges or oils and you’ll be fine. They are selling 350mg of oil for the same prices that other states are selling full grams of packaged top shelf concentrates which is just wrong. They are making fools out of everyone that buys them.
I finally got into this place after a 3 month wait and it is great. The buds are high quality (at least the ones I got) and they are very conveniently located. The staff was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. I will definitely be back. They are more expensive than the other ATCs in south jersey but the bud quality and handling is superior.

Personally, I’ve never been disappointed by my purchases at Breakwater. Their AK 47, Grape Ape, and SAGE 20 are all phenomenal. And it’s about 80 bucks an ounce cheaper than Garden State….which lacks the strain consistancy of keeping products in stock…problematic to those who know what works best for them. Go to breakwater. Hands down. 5 out of 5!

Amazing staff, beautiful flower, and a safe, clean facility that is easily accessible. I don’t have to pay any tolls to get there considering I live at the shore, an hour away from any of the dispensaries. This is my go-to place, I love to see their smiling faces and feel their positive vibes.

It’s a great location if you don’t live in Northern NJ. 6 ATCs for the whole state is not nearly enough to handle the load and the Two ATCs I’ve been to both run out of what I use with long stretches between harvests. I very much like Breakwater but I think the entire state program is too expensive and not large enough to support the latest addition if drug addition as a reason for Medical Pot. If stuff on the street is as good or better; and also cheaper. This will always be a problem for the program.

I’ve been to Breakwater a few times now over the last 6 weeks or so. Their location is the most convenient of the very few dispensaries the state has allowed in NJ. Considering the State of New Jersey has done its utmost to make its medical marijuana program the most restrictive in the nation, Breakwater (and all the others) are doing a fantastic job.
Breakwater’s location is very discrete. The staff are all top shelf – friendly, welcoming, and very well informed on the many aspects of medicinal use of marijuana. The parking area, the entrance, the office, the sales area – everything is SPOTLESS. A wide range of very useful products are also available for sale. Beautiful local glass among them.
This is New Jersey so we also have the most expensive MMJ program in the nation as well – and the only MMJ program, AFAIK, that forces patients to pay sales tax on their medicine. Still, Breakwater’s prices are the lowest in the state and they offer various discounts and frequent sales.
I’ve found the product quality to be excellent and prices are really not much higher than street if you take advantage of sales and discounts.
Potency must have improved during the last couple of months because medical grade has it all over any of the strains I was able to find previously. And you know exactly what you’re getting. It is all beautiful, fresh, clean, properly handled, properly stored, fragrant, delicious premium bud (lesser bud and shake sold for less). There is virtually NO lumber or other adulterants. It’s packed in tinted GLASS JARS that protect potency and have safety seals and a wealth of information on product labels.
Their 8 or so regularly available strains (they have a few others available from time to time – sign up for the email notifications on those and for sales etc.) provide enough variety for any condition or any time of day you’ll need them. BB31 and/or (recently available for a short time) Grape Ape are my current favorites for night. I’m out within minutes after a little vape and a little tinc. I haven’t slept this well IN MANY YEARS! 😀
Breakwater has Cannatonic too. I always mix some with whatever strain I’m using. I’m very happy they offer this strain. It cures what ails you and aids in homeostasis to keep you healthy – it’s the best thing for you since Mom’s chicken soup.
More strains are coming soon and the entire program is about to improve tremendously state-wide, I am sure, in 523 days – but who’s counting? 😉

my first time there and they were wonderful. Sat and explained everything to me, answered all questions, very pleasant, would definitely recommend Breakwater. it is a bit of a drive for me but we’ll worth it.
Nice strains, but not too many strains either which is a downside. Decent price and excellent patient service. I just wish they had all the strains GSD has for the Breakwater price. 😉
Every couple weeks a new strain is on sale. I have tried a variety and they are all great! They are light on the lungs and a very clean product always.

inconsistent. never know what your going to get, immature buds, overgrown (seedy buds) with very little medical effects. When you get there good stuff it is REALLY GOOD. but there is no guarantee. Its the only dispensary that doesn’t let you look at it before you buy it!!!!!! I got Sage 20 one month, awesome, dense, took up 1/2 the jar…. got 2 the next month, the same amount took up the whole jar. 1 gram would fit in a joint… but this bad stuff… a .4 filled a joint… so light and fluffy….. ZERO tricomes, i have a picture of good and bad and its night and day, i wish i could post it.
