    I used to look forward to coming and picking up my medicine. I had such confidence that the product was correct and properly recommended by the bud tenders and past management. And if I ever had a problem, I could have her taken care of and a matter of minutes, not anymore! This place has turned into just a very intimidating and scary place anymore!
    They currently have no management and it shows!!
    The products are never stocked! Their prices are So ridiculous!
    The staff has no clue of any of the products or even where they are on the shelf! I would’ve been without my medication if I had not pointed out to the bud tender where my medication was because she looked, couldn’t find it and then told me that they didn’t have it! It wasn’t until I pointed it out to her that she even kept looking.
    I understand people all have to be new at one point in their job, BUT when you are talking about medications and helping people You can’t do things half assed! I am so disappointed!! The last thing I wanted to do was write a negative review about the place don’t help me get through three surgeries and much much healing But, I still have many more obstacles to overcome and coming to find relief SHOULDNT cause more obstacles!! I will now drive out of my way to go somewhere other then here!

    This is where I started my adventure into medical marijuana. To say I was terrified is an understatement. I am 53 years old and have a desire to clear my system of all the pharmaceuticals my doctor has me on. They are not helping and they make me feel worse.
    Mia took me under her wing. She made me feel comfortable in a new environment. Mia answered my questions patiently and made sure we were on the same page with my health. I cried with relief and Mia was so kind.
    I have been to MedMar Rockford two more times and have met several more employees. I have always been treated with kindness and respect. My questions have always been answered and suggestions made. All of the employees have been spot on with the suggestions. It is a friendly atmosphere and the products I have tried have been awesome!
    I am now off 99% of my pain meds. My system is clear of the pharmaceuticals and I feel wonderful. I have slept without pain meds or sleeping meds. I wake almost free of pain with a clear head. It is wonderful!
    I can’t imagine I would ever go anywhere else for my medical marijuana needs. MedMar Rockford is awesome!

Bud tenders help answered questions about what would help me and was able to recommended product to help was very surprised how helpful and informed they were being my first time so I new nothing about the products or the what different stains meant!     All I can say is WOW! This place is amazing. I switched from the other Rockford dispensary a few days ago and cannot believe the difference. MedMar has everything: A far greater selection, incredibly knowledgeable budtenders, better overall prices, and MedMar is located in a much safer part of town. I’ve had two budtenders so far, Sam and Mia and they are both amazing. Most importantly, they treat me like family. I am so thankful MedMar is here! Don’t waste your time anywhere else.

    Medmar Rock Ford What’s up? The larger space is nice. A more diverse work force is great BUT I’m getting very disappointed by your selection of flower and vape. Disposable vapes are rarely in stock, flower strains are almost always the SAME. I assume you have the same owner as Lake View.Lake View has a much better selection, prices and variety. I don’t want to switch because Lake View is far for me, but if things don’t get better might have to switch locations to there or your local competitor. Are you getting “too big for your britches” and forgetting your number 1 mission? Hope not !

If they are out of something you want they are always quick to recommend something similar! Love the new remodel, also…glad to see more staff, allowing for more customers to purchase at once! My favorite reason to drive to Rockford!

    I’ll have to agree with olson627. I have Anxiety, PTSD, depression, stress & Multiple Sclerosis which Sativa strains make the Anxiety & PTSD worse! High Indica Hybrids & Indica don’t bother them and I need them for high pain. They should be stocking for all their patients. I may have to go to the other dispensary just so I can have a selection of High Indica Hybrids & Indica’s. I really like the people at Medmar but I’ve indicated to them numerous times when they try to sell me a Sativa I can’t do the Sativa becuz of my Anxiety & PTSD I can do high Indica Hybrids & just Indica without bothering the two (2) health issues I mentioned.

    I love Med Mar! From the staff and atmosphere to the product and location. As a first time user of marijuana I was a bit nervous but the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the strains and were able to help me with all my questions and concerns. I suffer from Fibromyalgia and Crohn’s disease. I have tried many different medications that have been unsuccessful and dealt with a great deal of unpleasant side effects caused by medication. I was having difficulty sleeping at night because of my pain and every day tasks would sometimes be difficult. I have found that purple urkle helps a great deal with sleep and pain. I use the canna tsu, harley tsu and bruce banner for my daytime pain. I feel like I am getting my life back finally!

    It was my first visit ever in a dispensary. Ironically I got my card on 420. I was nervous and Alesha help so much. Love the atmosphere and the friendly helpful staff. I hope this is what I need for relief od chronic pain and RA. Its only been a day but definitely can tell the difference. Thank you everyone at Medmar for making me welcomed and comfortable.

    This was a great place to get info and help but now I feel rushed and stock is usually an issue. I went in to pick up what was on Leafly and I get in and they are out. I have a really hard time getting what I want. I prefer sativas and it’s like pulling teeth to get someone to help with just getting me sativas. It’s like they save it for themselves. I’m kind of upset because you leave with a product, like a pen or a cartridge and it doesn’t work. They then say you can bring it back. Well I bring it back but can’t take it out of my purse to give it back to them. Huh? I’m looking forward to more dispensaries opening soon. Sadly this place was starting to grow on me.

    My first visit was so informative. The staff wanted to help me understand the products so I could make the educated decision. They all were very clear on how each products was to be used and what to expect. Even though everyone may feel a tad different from different products, I was able to find relief from my pain and spasms of MS immediately! I was so scriptural on how any of the lotions/gel would work for me. I slept so comfortably, without major pain and without the terrible spasms that kept me up at night! I am a believer! Not only was the product perfect for me, the staff is irreplaceable! I’m so excited to find this relief!

    My first time to visit. I was nervous and didn’t know what to expect. The man at check-in was friendly and explained the start of the process. I was relieved with security! The wait was short! I was helped by Aleasha she instantly asked me a few questions and then took me in the direction which was helpful for me! So much knowledge as if she went to school for years to prepare for her job! I was impressed with the choices! She helped show me how to research on the website. I am so happy for the program and that I spent the money for the license to help with my medical needs!     I recently started going to this location and I have had an excellent experience every time. I would definitely recommend MedMar to area residents. The quality of the flower/concentrate is second to none. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable.

    My first/second visit was with Aleasha R. and Laura R.. They helped me with choosing the correct medicine for my ailments. They were extreamly nice and very informative.

    During my most recent visit I worked with Taylor C.. I arrived at the facility 5 mins before closing. I was afraid they were going to rush me out at 6. Much to my surprise…the exact opposite. Taylor was patient and made me feel at ease.

    Overall experience with MedMar has been very satisfying and gratifying.

    great location. not hard to find. private.
    although not real happy with the stock. came out with more sativa strains, that is a huge factor for many other people with extreme anxiety. would really like to see indica strains that are more powerful for pain relief and migraines and insomnia.
    kimbo-kush, MK ultra, critical seni star. better strains such as those and more. i will say Acdc is a must have and must keep in stock. a few others as kosher kush, grand doggy purps , magnificent mile.
    many people are researching other dispensaries to switch to because of not well stocked and to many sativa strains. im not only speaking of this for me but for some others as well, medmar needs more and different types coming in.
    over all service and atmosphere has been great.

    In general I like MedMar. Most employees are nice. They have a large selection of product. I can’t speak to their knowledge as I don’t ask for their help. I am frustrated by some things.

    1. they are not keeping their menu up to date. I routinely go in with a list of things and they don’t have them even tho the menu says they do, even days after it sells out, it’s still listed and they have things in stock that are not listed. It’s annoying when you try to make a list of things you want.

    2. they are out of things frequently so I’d suggest having a long list of things you want with a backup list and then maybe you’ll end up actually getting a few things.

    3. this might be a law or something but I don’t understand why most of the time they only let one person in at a time to be waited on. The only time I’ve seen more than one person in the back is on 4/20 when they had dozens waiting.

    4. I wish they had online ordering (ie: product hold) so I could know ahead of time if they had what I needed or not before driving over there.

    5. the menu needs help as far as information. Many times an item is listed with just the name… no other info. It’s also hard to search when they don’t list things by brand. It’s just incomplete.

    6. why is the ATM in the lobby instead of in the purchasing area? Maybe because the guy servicing it can’t go in the back? That is really the only reason that makes any sense.

    Would like to see more flower from GTI, PTS, and Gold Leaf. A large portion of their flower menu isn’t that great. Definitely not worth $400/oz. Would be nice if “my” dispensary stocked up on better quality flower, and had a better selection of potent consentrates and splash cartridges. Other than that no complaints.

    I love going to MedMar they always have a great selection to choose from you’re always greeted with a smiling face, they also have a lot of atomizers for almost every wax pen plus if you need one you can pick up a cool piece there too another great benefit is they are open later and they are open on sundays!!!!!!

    I love the atmosphere and the love the medmar team brings. Its loving, invested team will make you feel at home while your buying your medicine. I really do love the staff. When I think of how great budtenders interact with their patients, I think of Medmar Rockford. Without a doubt. I’ve read other reviews that I’m agreeable with, they don’t do well with high customer flow, I’ve stood there as well while everyone else was getting helped in the back and I’m actually quite surprised, “behind” the doors should be more controlled and safe I should never stand around in the back! Second, They have a past of putting a tax on products that are 1. Highly desired 2. Numbers testing higher than usual. I have seen products come with a normal price tag then jump 5-10$ when it goes fast or people request (THAT MEANS PATIENT’S ARE GETTING RELIEF) I wouldn’t suggest this course of action, I suggest the prices stay the same ESPECIALLY if it’s an effective medicine. This is the problem with greed. Ex: One 1/8th of Brownie Scout was $45(sale)-$55 4 months ago, today you can spend $60 because the numbers tested high. Or Ex: An 1/8th of Gelato used to cost $55, Gelato is a “go to strain” for many people because of its pain relieving ability, you can expect to pay $60 for an 1/8th today. This is a trend among many desirable strains here. The pricing here should allot for consumers to be rewarded for buying material in Bulk where here you are punished for trying. There’s almost never an option to buy in bulk. Online menu needs to be updated way more often. Currently was updated 7 days without an update, but they can sit on Instagram all day where they can’t post pricing? The bud is dry but this I cannot blame on Medmar, this is the cultivators fault. All in all like I said the team is great, I suggest pouring Energy into selling more, you never, ever, ever start raising prices on items that shouldn’t fluctuate as a solution. This hurts you in the long run. Minor fixes!

    Note: Both Med Mar locations were bought out by Cresco in 2018, this essentially means that Cresco owns these locations. I was never in the store before this buyout, so I have no idea if it has impacted the store. Don’t believe me? Do a search on Google.

    The majority of the staff at this store simply do not know very much about Cannabis. I can think of one employee that I have dealt with that has been able to hold a conversation with me on what I am looking for. I am not that difficult, its generally stuff like:

    “I like gassy and skunky terps, do you have any concentrates that match this?”

    or

    “Hey, I have noticed everything in Illinois has Chem or Sour in it, while I love those strains, can you point out anything that has a different terp profile or some strains that don’t have Chem or Sour?”

    And I tend to get blank stares. Then I try to take control of the situation myself and its difficult to find the products. But I cannot… why? Because this store never has available menus and then they organize the products in a totally asinine way which tends to be by brand. They should take a note from the Chicago location and have a shelf or two dedicated to concentrates, that way I can look and compare. I might be able to do that if I had a menu, so that is another option.

    Its Rockford, so everybody is friendly to each other to the point that it freaks people out from outside of town but I grew up there so thats a bonus/normal for me. The girl with the dreads that works there is great. Makes me still regret cutting mine off and I did it 10 years ago. She also knows where products are and if they are out, offers something similar that is actually similar.

    Which brings me to my next point, on leafly they will have things listed but then you get there and they don’t have them. Once or twice, this happens. But this is frequent. I have also have had instances where I was told they didn’t have something, only to have another employee point it out.

    Now, I know I am not the standard customer they have at this place, but I go on there full aware of this and with appropriate expectations. I hope this location improves and I hope it stays honest and genuine while being owned by Cresco.

    I understand that the Illinois market is smaller (but its growing, I can tell and its about to explode now that we have a cannabis friendly governor) and strict, but lots of these issues can be addressed. I hope this review helps.

    The funny thing is, I applied for a job here. I needed something part time while I was finishing up for my Grad Degree. I often wonder what they look for when hiring budtenders.

    some staff better than others, prices are on the higher end, quality is hazzy, or inconsistent, 3 of the 10 different staff ive delt with are helpful, the others, act if it’s an unconvince, and push the hi end, top shelf meds. and hit or miss if you leave with what u need/ want, app is out of date, last time I went I looked up what I wanted, asked the man he said we don’t have, so that was beyond pointless, and left unhappy with poor quality cresco,

    I loved this place but today I was very disappointed . I’ve had several problems with gold leaf vape they used to be good about giving credits but this week has been a joke. I don’t mind coming back if there is a problem usually because I’m close. I feel sorry for those who live far away. Total this week I’ve lost $55 buying this product because they say they have been very understanding. How do I end up losing money by shopping medmar. I don’t have to lie about these problems as I can afford to pay for my cannibis and i have no reason to lie. Very disappointed.

    The staff are awesome. Traci and Alyssa are both knowledgeable and professional. They are two of the nicest, most caring ladies I’ve ever met. The security guys are nice and always smile and greet you. All the way up to the VP who helped me during my first visit, such a wonderful man who you could tell is in the business because he wants to help people.     This place is great, Aleasha and Traci are awesome people. I always get my questions answered and I’ve always felt welcomed and comfortable. I’ll never forget my first visit. As soon as the door to the buying section opened, Traci said boisterously, “Welcome Home!” Now that’s how to treat customers like family. Their prices may be a bit higher than other locales, but it’s totally worth it. You pay for what you get…QUALITY PRODUCTS & SERVICE!

    love this place. very nice staff and they know alot about what they got. one thing i do not like is the rediculous wait times. they have 2 employees working at all times but only one will be working at tge registers, that means if their is a whole waiting room full of people you are waiting for at least 30 minutes. and most of the times if you have been sitting and waiting alot of times they let the people that came in after you go first.. i was waiting for 20 minutes today and 3 people that came in after me went before me and when i say something im just told its not my turn yet..

    I do believe Med Mar is in a high end secure area of Rockford. I drive twenty minutes and it’s a beautiful drive. Easy access.

    Well, the service is okay, the ladies are nice. The issue is the quality of the products, and the overpriced products. Illinois is gouging us. When I can drive to Lansing and get higher quality meds at a fraction of the cost, I question why people even go to illinois dispensaries. Step your game up medmar, how bout more weekly deals, incentives, etc…
