The budtender with a Rasta fanny pack with glasses and long hair, was our budtender he complained about having to check our account to see how many reward points we had, I then asked for a 8th of a top shelf strain and he said they were all out. We never have a bad budtender but I’m not sure why he hiring manager hired this guy terrible customer service. After a couple words were said he band me from ever coming to this dispensary again without notice. The dude with the fanny pack needs to be fired. I want to speak to a manager about this.

Tucked away off of W Happy Valley Rd (I almost missed it) is a great little find… As a first time customer I felt welcomed and my budtender Jake was attentive and knowledgeable, helping me pick the right meds for me… They offered great deals (PLEASE KEEP THAT UP) and my bud and other products were right on point… Keep up the great work and you’ll definitely have a repeat customer in me!

42. i used to go here religiously. they have the best orange and sherbet strands. my last visit tho. dY$?”dY~!dY~ super weird. i walked in and for some reason i went to hand her my money instead of my card. i clearly remember having my money, check your cameras. i go back and this beautiful blonde guy helps me again. we start bullshitting on life i pull out my coupons(they were bundled with my money) and my moneyi turn my back because he wants to show me these rubs and oils. i turn back to the counter, pick out my eghts, go to grab my money abbr its gone. i freaked out and went through the whole dispensary lpoking for it. someone jacked my shit off the counter and honestly i think it was your staff.

I enjoy your low prices on both your half and full oz. of flower and I understand they are popcorn nugs, but I wasn’t paying for stems! Seriously though, do you guys just pick the stuff off the floor and put it in the containers without properly manicuring it, I might as well be buying street bud! Also I was there at 9:45pm where you claim to charge no tax but I bought a half oz of your Pink Lemonade and only got $2 back!! I didn’t say anything because it was clearly late and you guys were busy but that’s poor service and after that plus the bud is like reg weed, I may not go back even though your prices are low. Clearly quality goes down when the price does.

51. I live in the North Valley and usually have to travel at least a half an hour to get decent flower for a good price. This dispensary offers top shelf flower for a decent price. I don’t have to pay $50-60 an 8th to get good flower.

However I’m pretty disappointed when I go there for a certain strand that you have on Leafly and when I get there you don’t have it. 55. Brand new building, nicely laid out. I was met by Michelle, the very friendly greeter. Jon was my budtender. He has great knowledge of their product and the industry. Packaging is far and above average. My meds were served up in a nice, tamper proof, glass jar. Their price point is on the high side, but for the level of service, packaging, employees, and quality, it was well worth it. I tried the DJ Short Blueberry and it is amazing. Great job folks! I will be back.

75. My first visit to a dispensary was to DR for the great prices and the FTP BOGO. I liked the place; everyone was friendly and happy. I got excellent flower and was super happy.
    I made the rounds getting FTPs at a number of places. There are fancier dispensaries out there but the quality doesn’t always compare and no one has better regular prices and super deals on great quality flower.
    DR will be my go-to for my medicine.

81. Disappointed based on the hype. Not very welcoming really at all when I walked in. The wait time was short, I tried 2 top shelf strains J1 and Casey Jones. J1 was on par with the J1 currently around the valley, was good. The Casey Jones was rough at best… Not sure why this was a top shelf strain. Transaction was quick but I don’t think I’ll based on the flower.

82. I stop getting flower here a while ago when the price dropped happened, the quality has gone down. I strictly come here for timeless cartridges now. But that has changed. I waited 30 minutes in line to get one and after I got home I realized it didn’t work, not their fault. But when I come back and asked to exchange it they made me wait in line for 20 more minutes. And then the manager tells me I was only waiting in line for seven minutes. More likely that the front desk didn’t check me in on time. I was polite but assertive with my discontent for the wait and service and no one cared and were happy to see me go. Thankfully 12 dispensaries carry timeless and are not in BFE.

83. This place is absolutely amazing. $32 for an ounce as a new patient special? I’ve never seen that anywhere! Yes it’s popcorn buds, but they are dense, frosty and have amazing terpene profiles. On top of the great price, you have tons of options when it comes to strains! We came all the way down from Tucson and will be returning again soon. Also, ask for Billy. He’s definitely my favorite consultant out of all the places I’ve tried. He’s honest, friendly and just radiates the best vibes. Thanks again Billy!

Was awesome they honored they’re original FTP special so I was able to get a half oz of the Purple Urkle that was super on point for BO Quad GO FREE. Then grabbed a quad of the Pineapple Chunk being it was on August super special and looked sick as hell. Got the Chunks for buy an 8th get an 8th half price. So walked out with 3 quarters of an ounce for $110. Was so super stoked I forgot my $10 in charge which Spencer chases me down in parking lot to make sure I got. Love smoke, glass jars, and peeps in pharmaceutical gowns. Also have brand new display cases ready for more up and coming products. They had a rough intro but totally turned it around and are on the right track for a permanent provider of my meds.

113. I literally travel across the valley to come see the awesome team at this dispensary. Pretty faces and encouraging smiles light up the place. The flower and edibles are very good and the deals are always top of the line. Absolutely have to say that Jake swan is one of my favorite bud tenders in the state of Arizona. 117. Driving thru on my way from Cottonwood to Phoenix and was looking for a particular strain. I recently had a brain tumor removed and heard ROCKSTAR was an AWESOME strain from headaches. It wasn’t on my local menu yet so I had been checking around and don’t ya know….. Not only was it there but I was able to take advantage of the NPS and do a BOGO and get a second strain I’d heard good things about. The staff was awesome and I liked the fact that when you got inside, it totally looked like you walked from one galaxy to another. (The outside made me think it was gonna be small inside….I was way wrong)

I was a first time patient and grabbed Paris Og and Platinum Huckleberry, which were labeled as their highest shelf of flower. Both looked great but had zero smell/taste. I don’t know if it was due to poor packaging.. I think the effects of both are satisfying, yet I enjoy the full experience of flavors and aromas and unfortunately those weren’t there.

For being so up on everything you all would think you would get your packaging right for your SAP, the $50 de-waxed stuff was an absolute nightmare to get off that horrible paper in to a silicone. Not even the freezer helped because it was so stuck to one of the sides I couldn’t even get it off cold. Please change out the way you package that. I only ended up with a half a gram after messing with it for 20 minutes. Not happy.

141. The people here are really friendly and from what I can tell, some of the more knowledgeable budtenders in Phoenix. That being said, their is usually a longer wait time for getting seen, also the waiting area is very cramped… very very very cramped… The quality of the product is top of the line, but the location is also in BFE…. they had a great FTP deal but haven’t seen many deals from them but their prices are very reasonable for the daily price.

142. Been going here a year now and they’re not the same. They had a great smoke shop and they closed it. They stopped giving the free lighters and papers if you used to get them. They raised their prices and extended their business hours. The quality of their top tier flower has significantly diminished. Time to try another!

143. Came here for the first time Saturday 7/15 and was helped by an awesome bud tender, forgot his first name, last was Swan, super chill guy that gave great recommendation when asked. Their herb is top quality, bought some sunset sherbet and green crack. Currently on the sunset and it’s amazing. It’s a bit of a drive, but I’ll be back and bring friends!!

166. Even in the heat this place is worth the wait. Often times up to 25 minute wait, lobby gets crowded. However, they have a/c, lots of chairs, water, a loudspeaker, and fast budtenders once you get in the door. Love and tip your budtenders they will help you make good selection from great priced product.

Attractive new building with a nice little waiting room for non patients. The patient’s area was nice with all new attractive stainless steel, red & black decor. Very clean, nice & new. The flower came in a nicely packaged glass jar that’s a nice change from the other dispensaries. Jake spent some time asking me some questions about my medication preferences and offered up some suggestions about concentrates and how to use them. He pointed out that in the rear of the store a nice display will be going up from a glass artist from Tempe, that’ll be cool to check out. Jake was an awesome budtender all around! The flowers looked, smelled, tasted awesome & was exact to the Jedi Kush I was there for. Priced competitively and worth the drive out by the airport. Only suggestion I would give is that I find only a few dispensaries in the valley that offer AARP disability and/or discount for Vets. Add the AARP discount & that’ll make it worth my drive more often!

I like the location; strategically located near DV Airport on the way to Cave Creek and North Scottsdale, DS is looking to attract high end private-plane clientele with expendable income, and at the regular menu rates, that’s what they’ll need, and they’ll get it. Old school ‘medicaters’ won’t like their ‘unique marketing strategy’ of emphasizing some imagined pedigree of quality , and they won’t give you the THC & CDB content, nor CBNs. The flower is pretty, smells good, and the quality IS good, but the black cherry soda is big puffy spongy weed, the kind that goes up in smoke quickly, consequently I am smoking about 1 1/2 times as much as I normally would, so even with the FTP discount, it remains exactly comparable with my regular dispensary. Without the FTP discounts and at regular menu prices, my regular dispensary is a better deal. Great personalities at Desert Rose though, and I loved the Tesla out front.

I based my decision on their FTP special offer (BOGO 8th’s), overall product prices, and proximity to my place. As a total newbie I was a little intimidated pulling into the parking lot – but after a short wait to get to the backroom I was pleasantly surprised at how well I was treated. I must have asked at least 25 questions, but the lady who assisted me was awesome and helped dial me into 3 med’s to test on my personal journey to discover what strains work best for me. Out of the 3 products I bought, 2 will be regulars in my rotation so I guess that means my first visit was a true success! I had planned on going to several dispensaries over the first few months of my newfound buying options but my 1st experience was so good I came back again to make my 2nd round of bud-testing bact @ Desert Rose (and yup got 3 keepers that time for just $60 out the door). 429. I stopped by here for the first time the other day, and it’s pretty great. Clean, sleek interior, decent enough prices, and everyone was super nice. My budtender, Jake, was just absolutely wonderful. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and worked with me to ensure I walked out happy. With the combined preregistration discount, and the first time patient deal, I walked out with a bit over a quarter for $54. Pretty damn good product, I got the Pineapple Chunk and some God’s bud, and am enjoying both of them.

     My only issue is with the glass jars the product comes in. My hands are messed up, and spasm at random intervals causing me to drop things. I was a bit terrified to drop the bag by accident and break the jars. Other than that, I liked it here and will be back soon!

     In terms of flower, I have not been disappointed…which is a rarity. This place is less than 7 miles from my house. I can’t say enough good things about this place!

But it smelled and tasted exactly like the other strains I picked up .Which was the cheese and chem something.Ok my budtender was a nice guy don’t get me wrong.But for my BOGO first time patient I got an Indica and asked him to pick a strong sativa for my free eighth get home look in my bag it is Indica/hybrid no sativa to be found. There are 3 dispensaries that have true top shelf flower in my opinion. This is not one of them. So use your bogo for a cartridge or an edible seasoned smokers.

     But recently they’ve been coming out of DR upset because of their advertising via text. They’ll advertise one thing at one price, but when you get there it’s either different product or different price. They don’t seem to realize the impact of improper advertising does on a business reputation. Besides the fact that it’s federal law to offer the advertised price. I get annoyed by other dispensaries who send out multiple text messages, sometimes to correct a mistake in the first text, but at least they fix it, unlike DR. It’s a long drive to make to not get what was advertised.

528. Now this happens to be the 3 most resent time I have stopped in. Customer Service is never the issue, the quality of the medicine that’s on discounted to the regular tiered vs going to another locations for their medical product is getting to the point of lack of standing by your own products or those your selling. Example, the last 3 times I have came in, the reps are always friendly. Now after discussing what offers and Best Buy. I purchase my medicine and go home. Now the 1st time, My thought were maybe it was common to have about 7 – 9g worth of stems, but the 2nd with 7 – 8g then now this most recent 1 again with 6 – 8g. Not too mention the last 2 batches were extremely dry as in crumbles to powered. If this is the product to purchase if their offering discounts and reps stating the tier level product isn’t as good as the sell product. I’d take my medical needs to another store front. Just Saying..

     Last week I blew it. I was working on the West side, when I was done I checked Leafly and saw a dispensary at Metro Center, so I went in. I bought their Cotton Candy. Bummer, weak and it lasted five minutes. I was on the back porch twelve times an hour, went thru two-eighths, in three days. Yow! SO, lets go deeper here. I’ve been keeping track of the change on the dollar that they round-up at Desert Rose. Forty-one cents here, sixty cents there. It’s added up to where I figure it’s about enough to buy a pre-roll. So, I’m thinking I might bust my next bud tender out. Say something like, I figure you guys owe me a joint by now, with all the rounding up money I’ve left on the table. (Tee hee) But Desert Rose is too cool yo bust out. Today I went in looking to buy ten pre-rolls, all Chem-4. They only had three left, so to be cool about it the budman laid an eigth of killer on me. 608. I’ve been here several times now and I really like this dispensary. I’ve never had to wait long and the budtender sate super helpful and friendly. I’m hoping they keep expanding their flower line and getting new products.
     The first time I went there they forgot to discount one of my products. I called them and they made a note in my account. The next time I went in they brought up my account and mentioned that I had a credit before I even had to ask 🙂 Mistakes happen, but they handled it well.
     They also have some of the best prices I’ve seen. The $25 1/8ths are still a good quality flower. The only thing I’ve noticed is that generally they are small buds vs the big ones you get with premium pricing. The quality is still there as far as flavor and effectiveness.
     This is now one of my favorite dispensaries.

Love that coupons can be used even if something is on special. New head shop side is fully stocked and reasonable priced. With that being said I would like to see a special or coupon on that side of the room. Parking is sometimes tricky but last time I was there a friendly parking assistant was outside waiting to direct me. Several people have mentioned that they need music or some distraction in the waiting room as it is pretty small and you really get to know your neighbors a little too well. Final impression, love this place and is my go to.

657. I was coaxed up to this location with their buy one 8th get on free new patient offer – and the fact that they had one of my favorite strains available. When I got to the location it was rustic, and very busy. I found the vibe a little intimidating vs the other dispensaries in town. I had to wait about 30mins to get served – in guessing everyone was taking advantage of the bogof deal going down. Once served, the budtender was very nice. But seemed more apt of offering me free papers and lighters than knowing about the strains of weed they sell. They also do not grow their own weed, which leads me to my biggest issue with the place. I purchased top tier flower, packaged a week or two prior to purchase. It was dry and weak. I smoked one joint and felt nothing so smoked another and felt a little. The taste was awful, and not anything like the strain I normally procure from a different location in town. I trashed the weed it was that bad! I advise that you spend a little more on your product at dispensaries that know what they’re doing rather than simply trying to push bad weed out cheap to make dollar. I will not be returning here.

     My only disappointment was how isolated their location is but it was quickly redeemed with the great customer service upon check-in. The security was also professional and friendly and instilled a very safe atmosphere.
     Spencer was very knowledgeable and informative. I was very impressed with the quality of their medicine’s and the clinic atmosphere. Everything was very organized and clean. Despite the isolated location, I would highly recommend this dispensary. Even if you live far, you will not regret your visit. Prices/deals are great and products are even better.

The patients used to be priority number 1, but as every dispensary is the state of Arizona goes all they care about now is profiting and putting sub par medicine on the shelves. The house wax was “decent” maybe one week out of the month the price of 5 for 60 was fair. now 5 for 80 made from low quality trim. I have spent thousands of dollars here since they opened.      The lobby is always a little dirty looking. The chairs in the lobby have stains all over them. There is a bathroom in the lobby as well. I feel they could do a lil cleaning up to the lobby and that can go a long way, but for now it feels like some seedy establishment found only in the city’s underbelly.
     Employees are relaxed, but everytime I go in I normally check Leafly beforehand, and see what I’ll be picking up. Just to be in and out.
     Parking space is tight in front with like only five spaces available. They make up for that small space though by allowing customers to park behind the building, in a makeshift dirt parking lot.
     But the parking behind the building has little to no lighting during the night hours, which makes it a little sketchy walking to your car after purchasing meds.
     All that aside though, if you live in the northern valley area this would be a good place to visit often for product.

822. Once upon a time not so long ago, desert rose was my favorite dispensary in all Arizona. Now, they have raised the price on their wax, carts, and even flower. I am a poor college student and I drove down from flagstaff to go here just to find out they don’t even sell single grams of flower and they got rid of the 5gs of shatter for $60? So I end up going in there thinking I’m getting a gram of weed and 5 grams of wax but instead I walk out with 2 gs of wax for $43, and one of them is dark and clearly poor quality. I can get shatter for $15 a g in flagstaff if I come before 11, so if Desert Rose doesn’t change their prices back to how they were I won’t be returning. I’ve referred so many of my friends who have their cards here based on the 5 for $60 shatter deal and the $18 eights and cheap popcorn ounces, and now I regret it. As a patient with a college student budget, who’s quality of life is greatly improved by getting my Cannabis affordably, I am extremely disappointed with Desert Rose and will never recommend it ever again if they don’t get their old prices and quality back.

850. Desert Rose continues to progress and raise the bar!

     First off, Desert Rose hasn’t been taken over by a big company despite what you’ve read in the reviews. It’s still under the same ownership it’s been under since the beginning. That isn’t changing anytime soon.

     Second, While there is now a “premium shelf” offered at $55 an 8th, those strains happen to be from High Grade Az and Eerl Cup winners. The original $40 – $30 – $18 8ths have all been dropped to accommodate patients and offer meds at a slightly cheaper price.

     Desert Rose brings in strains from High Grade Az, Sunday Goods, and HPW and they offer premium concentrates from producers like MPX, Santiago & Dunbar, Sweet Science and Canamo Concentrates.

     Honestly, as a patient with a life threatening genetic disorder that affects all the connective tissues in my body, a total left hip replacement, scoliosis, degenerative disc disease and spinal swelling called dural ectasia.. I rely heavily on medical cannabis to even function. If it wasn’t for these guys, their dedication to medication and their love for their patients I’d be back in the hospital hooked up to a morphine drip. For that reason alone I won’t go anywhere else!

My hopes of this review is to just inform incase you or the growers werent aware of the high seed content in the indica strains I get lately. 890. Unfortunately this dispensary has now changed a number of its policies and installed a computer software program that hides true costs. Previously, they had a tax free offer from 9 – 12 every day which made it worth the drive; and in addition offered a discount to seniors and veterans. Recently the tax free period has been changed to 9 – 10 every day, and not offered in conjunction with a senior or veteran discount. Previously I felt that although Desert Rose was a bit more expensive per item, the tax free period combined with the 10% senior discount made it worth the effort to visit them. No longer. The new software breaks down every dollar you spend and adds up to a dime per dollar to your total for some alleged charity. So, if you spend $100, look for 100 line items on your receipt adding as much as an additional $10 to your cost. The manager explained to me that this change was effective November 13, 2017. However, it seems a bit hit or miss as some staff apply the senior discount during the tax free hour of 9 – 10, while others don’t. Management explained to me that “yes, there is no reason for a senior to come in during the tax free hour in the morning as the tax free period voids the senior discount. I still haven’t been able to calculate how the 10% senior discount is offset by the approximately 8.5% sales tax. That said; every dispensary makes its own marketing decisions; and every customer has an opportunity to vote with their wallet. Let me stress that the staff, and manager, were unfailingly polite in attempting to explain how 8.5% equals 10%; and staff here have always been friendly and courteous.

I love the way they sell flower in jars instead of ziplocks, and pre-rolls in tubes. I think this should be the way all dispensaries sell their product. The only negatives were a limited selection (which I am sure will get better over time) and a lack of THC and CBD stats on the product. Other than that, great start to a terrific new store!

Three weeks ago they had their heads mixed up about details regarding specials (I left feeling I hadn’t gotten the best deal), and they were very apologetic about their stock and dA(c)cor. My visit today I was pleased to see a $7/g “strain of the month,” more confident engagement from the staff, and though the decorations haven’t improved the atmosphere feels almost festive. This is absolutely due to the excellent staff. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and many have impressive backgrounds the industry. Basically, they’re almost certain to give you the best information and care when it comes to your weed. I only know of one other dispensary that makes me feel this comfortable in my budtender’s care. Final thoughts: being back the limit 1 per day NUG preroll; the way they cure they’re buds is freaking excellent, tasty, and potent; I’m very appreciative of their $7 gram – N Phx needs better prices on bud, and Desert Rose is TOP NOTCH QUALITY. Maybe the owners’ pocket?

Last time I was in I was not allowed to smell inside the container before the purchase..hmm..That seems new, not sure why that was the case. Anyways hope that rule doesn’t last. This fake terp stuff is so common and obvious in Az, if you cant tell, you just arent a toker, plain and simple. Expensive bottled synthetic terps. Same with vanilla banana bubblegum whatevers, never legit in Az. I stopped going to Greenway Analytical when they gave me Headband that tasted like hotdog water; your Sour Diesel taste the exact same. So Im not sure this place has an eye for quality, when they are buying weed from collectives I am actively abandoning for unnatural tastes (i rubbed the stems and yes its Sour D, where is the hotdog taste coming from?)

      Shouldn’t be able to tell who grew weed by the taste, but hey Phx is the Twilight Zone of Xannabis. Worth trying if you already stuck with dispensaries. If youre looking for more, only time will tell.

1179. My first visit was great, but I waited until my second visit to review. Today, Shalee helped me as I scanned their flower products. I chose the Birthday Cake and THC Bomb. Both are perfect! The THC Bomb has a super dense, heavy bud structure with plenty of dust for the kief catcher, but it doesn’t just grind to powder like some of the dense strains around the valley. Very potent and dosage dependent without strong side effects – but a little too much will move you from the couch to the pillows. I haven’t tried the Cake yet, but it’s great on the nose and eyes. After a year purchasing mostly flower from sources all over the valley, this place is quickly becoming my favorite. This place is so good you almost want to keep it a secret. My only regret, being the baboon I prove to sometimes be, is that today I over-ordered and only had enough cash to cover my 109 balance! This left me nothing to tip Shalee with, and she definitely deserved something after all of her help. I’ll be sure to make it up next visit.

1208. Hit or miss, we all know that. DONT BE A FANBOY, ITLL BITE YOU IN THE BUTT. No one has it together round these parts. This is just a personal tip, but the prepackaged meds scream orchestration. The largest grow facility in the state, if Im not mistaken, shouldnt resort to ‘grams only’ methods of fetching higher price points of popular strains. And at some point, youll refuse to break down an 8th. Like no one knows what to do with that half gram. You have no grow limit. Making money should be as easy as breathing for a retailer in that position, if youll just stop following what you’ve learnt in the wannabe Az industry. You know its a popular strain, ‘grams only’ doesnt cut it in this monopolized market.

      Prepackaged meds gotta go, for many reasons. Unless you burp them every day, your weed is steaming itself in gases, molding, or is already too dry, and degradated. What customers bring home won’t and doesnt resemble whats on the shelf in this regard. Time and time again Im shown finished buds, and bring home either wet, or overdried buds. Obviously, everyone has a preference, however i feel CONSISTENCY helps preferences adjust.

1234. Man, what has happened to this place? Should have known something was up a year ago when all of the original budtenders and managers started disappearing. You used to be able to come here and get the absolute best service no matter what bud tender you got stuck with. You would get taken care of and you would more than likely learn a thing or two, and then leave very happy with the product and service received. These days you’re lucky if you get one the two good budtenders, and even then the experience is sub-par to what it used to be. 1236. This is the first time I have been to this dispensary because it is pretty far away from my house. I decided to try them out because I was short on cash and they were offering some great specials. Since it was my first visit it was BOGO for eighths. I also got there before noon so no tax was added to my purchase. So I ended up getting a quarter for $40.00. I ended up getting two different strains, Barry White and Chiesel. I was very impressed with the quality of the buds. Both were very fresh and dank. Lastly I was very impressed with how fast they were able to get people in and out of the shop. When I got there quite a few people were in line ahead of me however I was able to get out of there within 15 minutes. Even though this location is pretty far from where I live, I would go there again if I am short on cash or if they are running a good special.

The main area is quite large and spacious. My second choice based on what they had available was the Dr Who, and let me say that this is the best Dr who I have ever had. This strain alone is worth coming back for. He answered all of my annoying questions (I work in the cannabis industry also so I know how it can get) without any problem and encouraged me to come. Google said it was 25 mins away, get in the car type it in my GPS and it was almost an hour away! 40 miles! I decided to take that drive and go anyway bc of the prices alone. The dispensary is literally in the middle of nowhere lol. I go & get checked in. The wait wasn’t long at all. I get called back and Skyler was to take care of me. He is definitely one of the BEST that I’ve ever came across. He was very knowledgeable and very kind. He helped me pick out some great strains without getting personal about my condition. I told him what I was looking for and he gave me just that and more! I happen to go there on a Friday morning and it was crazy busy but I did not mind waiting because everyone there is super friendly. I was helped by Sean who , again was super awesome and courteous, however lacked the inventory knowledge. I am a Sativa user so he HIGHLY recommended Magnum PI, once I was convinced and placed an order for an eighth, he went to get my order and came back saying they ran out and then told me the alternative Green Crack and that he highly recommends that as well, and then again told me that they ran out. Like I said, its really hard to get upset at these folks because they are probably the nicest people you ll ever meet. So I asked him, “Why don’t you get me a Sativa that you do have in Stock. I clearly told him that I was not interested in Hybrids or Indicas. Anyways, he told me about the Double Tangie Banana and I picked up an eighth and came home. Possibly the worst tasting herb ever, and then I realized that I did not get the energy that I usually get from smoking a Sativa so I finally looked at the label and it said “Hybrid” Sativa. Yes, it may not be a big deal to a lot of people, but I literally waited a little over an hour and I was blatantly lied to my face. Yes, they have the best prices, the best customer service, but please don’y BS just to sell me something, that’s all I am saying. Overall a great place though, hopefully I’ll get someone different next time.

1336. If you have PTSD or anxiety, avoid this place like the plague. It’s a very rowdy hangout for people who want to get high, rather than what it should be – a damn pharmacy for people in pain. The music is loud, the customers are loud, the staff constantly slams both doors, it’s unbearable for a PTSD sufferer. This dispensary is a great example of the negative stereotypes of why conservatives don’t want to legalize medical marijuana in this state. Its filled with people who just want to get bombed and they talk openly about it in the waiting room. It’s a pity because their products are pretty great, but I can’t hang with how absolutely unprofessional it is.

1353. I stopped in to Desert Rose for my first visit last weekend on a whim as I had found myself on a side of town that I do not normally visit. I’m glad I went with my gut instinct to come here because it has been one of my new favorites in West Phoenix. My budtender was extremely personable and knowledgeable, and was able to help me find the exact medications for my needs without pushing extra product on me which is ALWAYS appreciated.

1362. Great atmosphere, fun staff, fun customers, but the flowers aren’t great. Not sure what all the 5 star reviews are about, but this place doesn’t cure their marijuana properly. The buds will get you high, a clean high, no headaches, but the buds are tasteless, extremely dry, and harsh on the throat (via vaping at low temperatures).

1363. The first time I came here, I came with a bunch of friends, two of which referred the other 4 of us. We had a great experience, were in and out pretty quick and got decent flower for our FTP gift. I had purchased an Airopro cartridge in addition to the free half oz I got on my first visit. Now I don’t live close to DR by any means. So by the time I get around to using this cartridge, I used it maybe twice and the metallic connection piece in the cartridge broke, resulting in half the cart leaking out. Like I said, I don’t live close and this place is off the beaten path so by the time I was able to swing by to grab a replacement, it had been a week and a half or so from my original purchase. I stopped in, was called back and told the guy helping me what happened. He cut me off, said his manager wouldn’t issue a return and what else did I need? I asked to speak to his manager. The manager comes out, I tell him the same thing and he says the best he can do is offer me 50% off my purchase of a NEW cartridge due to aEURoestore policy.aEUR Excuse me? He said had I come in SOONER he MAYBE could have done something. Uh…ok? I’ve been in this industry for 2 years, I know how it works. You sold me a defective product and wouldn’t refund nor replace it for me due to aEURoestore policy.aEUR It was a truly terrible experience and I felt extremely disrespected. Will not be returning/wasting money here and I would not recommend Desert Rose. I guess I’m just used to dispensaries that actually care about their patients, not places that just front like they do.

1431. Very unsatisfactory experiences at this location. Have found seeds in buds from the 25$ 1/8 and shockingly found seeds in all of the other tiers, even 60$ 1/8’s. Bud tenders will pressure you into spending your money on the top shelf products that could be found for half the price at any other dispensary in the state. The waiting room is a narrow hallways with about 8 seats and every time I have visited all seats have been taken. I find it disturbing this location allows children and pets to go not only in the waiting room, but also in the back room( with a full on smoke shop on display) The last time I visited I saw a child sitting on the counter starting intently at the concentrates and I personally feel this is pretty messed up. The management needs to seriously re think things if they want to stick around.

1490. Hey guys hope alls well, if your nearby this dispensary and havent visited then this is a MUST-READ. First of when you enter the facility it smells like moldy marijuana right away like there grow is literally in the same building, they also never show you the weed your buying, they sell there grams in a closed, sealed container which could be the host of mold and other pesticides for only god knows how long its been there. They were already on my last straw when a security guard had a panic attack because i was parked in two spots at once, mind you one of them being only a half – parking spot near the main entrance. I was then told to move my car by the entire staff which was compeltely unreasonable considering there were no customers waiting at noon on a wednesday plus a compeltely wide open parking in back. Bunch of slackjobs working this detail security and the customer service agents should be replaced. Make sure u get ur weed from a dispensary who doesnt prepackage. Thumbs down!!

1513. I’ve been in a few times when they had the first time patient deal and referral deal where you got an ounce for free. The flower is decent but the budtenders are not very helpful. I practically had to beg before they would let me look or smell anything. I get that every dispensary has their own rules but I don’t want to use the room on my card for an ounce that I might not like. The last time I went in my budtender was obviously very stoned, I don’t really care, but don’t sit there and act like everything I ask about is a hassle for you. Their flower isn’t good enough to go again.

1522. Desert Rose used to be my go to for the price. The quality has always been sub par but for the prices you cannot beat the place… Until now. They’ve nixed their 5 for 60 wax deal in lieu of producing their own rosin and who knows what that will start rolling in or even if it’s going to be the same price point. And don’t get me started on the flower price hike. The flower isn’t potent or fresh enough for DR to charge what they do. And when I ask about it I get some corndog story about how there’s a mmj shortage hitting the state but when I asked the manager at another dispo they told me it wasn’t true. Seems like it’s just that the owners of desert rose want a fatter profit margin on our bill… Lost my business until they start being like the old DRx

1531. I attended the soft opening today and I was rather impressed. I’ll be back for sure. Everyone I interacted with was super-friendly and professional. I want to give a special shout out to my budtender, Gabby. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and a simply excellent at her job. I also loved the aesthetic of this place. It’s clean and sleek and you’ll love the jars they use to display flower. I picked up some Black Cherry Soda shatter and I could not be happier with the product. I didn’t buy any flower but it all looked absolutely delicious. The Thin Mint GSC looked fucking gorgeous. Prices are on the high side, however, you get what you pay for, I suppose. They do offer select strains for as low as $40 an 1/8.

1534. I bought an 1/8th yesterday, of the elderberry kush, bunk ass weed. Dont buy it!!! I smoked 3 bowls and didnt even get a buzz! What they showed me at the store was good looking and smelled grate. When i got it home and opened mine it was grassy smelling little very very green buds. I dont think it was weed, BE CAREFUL THEY SELL BUNK WEED!!!

1536. Came in for the 1/2oz shake with any purchase deal on 420, on a friday, after work and a far drive for me and they were out. Instead I got a free 1g pre roll. Which I would of gotten for free from a different, closer dispensary just for going there on a normal day. Didn’t like how they were calling people to the back just to sit and wait more in a smaller area. Staff was in a bad mood and complaining. Left here upset and on my way to a different dispensary for better 420 deals since that was the reason for coming here. This is not like the desert rose I knew just a few days before.

1571. Despite having an out of the wayish location for me, I found it worth the 20 min drive. I don’t think they have a new patient special which I found a little surprising considering the location.

      The budtender Adam did a good job showing me a few types of flower and I couldn’t pass up the Pineapple Chunk. For the price (just under $40 for an eighth) it looked and smelled very good. The flower came in a sealed glass jar which was a nice touch. It smoked as good as it looked and smelled. Some of the flower is a bit pricey without a jump in quality as far as I could see, but overall quality of their buds looked pretty high.

      The concentrates looked decent, but better quality can be found at lower prices closer to home.

      Overall I think they have a nice looking dispensary, good staff and good quality product. I will definitely be back for more flower at the very least.

1572. It’s quite small, it’s definitely not my favorite dispensary but i do go back for the prices when I’m trying to save money. The bud tends to be dry more than half the time. If i wasn’t strapped on cash i wouldn’t be coming here as often.

Came her for some live resin that is the only one listed on Leafly and @30 gram. when I get there they tell me that was a different brand yet they had all the exact same name as the Leafly menu but at $30 1/2. When I complained about a bait and switch two male employees (managers supposedly) start treating me like crap and saying I was trying to rip THEM off!! wtf this isn’t the first time they’ve got me with different price when you get there. So if you don’t care that they will charge you more and that the Leafly menu is totally innacurate then this place is for you.

I went to this location last week for the first time with my girlfriend and we were blown away by not only the quality of medicine, but also by the superior customer service we recieved from Spencer. Every question we had was answered and we felt like we were actually cared for. Desert Rose is not close to us by any means but from now on, its the only dispensary we’ll be going to! They’re goal isn’t recreational, they have a true passion for cannabis and making sure patients get the highest quality medicine for a price that trumps the rest.

1599. I am seriously in love with this place. I love everything they do and the way that they do it, and it always brightens my day when I know I need to visit the dispensary. Jon was my first budtender a few months back and is absolutely amazing everytime I come in. His knowledge about medical marijuana and about the products they carry amazes me everytime I come in. You can ask this guy any question and get a real, legitimate answer, that you know isn’t some BS. Since then I have had the joy of working with many other of the budtenders and they all have outstanding customer service and are pretty knowledgeable as well.
